The best game

I counted 7 errors, still you cannot make that many errors on routine plays and expect to win.  The kids need to remove their heads from where its not supposed to be.  Other than about 2 or 3 players nobody is hitting, so lets plug some JV players in the lineup.  Still don't see the logic in that.

Good game by the Hill; good pitching, good defense and timely hitting.  Would've like to seen Crosby not give away 4 gifts in the first inning, but thats baseball.

But this is what I hope happens,  GCM beats KPark,  Crosby beats GP, the Hill is out and then you need to sort the top three spots.

This is how I see it playing out.  KPark will beat GCM this Friday and sew up the district title.  GP will beat Crosby taking the #2 seed.  Crosby will be the #3 seed and GCM #4.  Crosby plays in a one game playoff with either Vidor or PNG because lately the cougars are too inconsistent to play 2 or 3 games at a high level.  Just my 2 cents.

Don't see KPark losing again. They have plenty of motivation with Crosby going to GP next week--They could still win the district outright.

Takng them too lightly yes.  Ressler pitched against GP earlier this week and I guess they were saving Gabby for K-Park.

New district leader vs. a team in disarray.  Gabryszwski probably going for Crosby, Park probably going with their #1, so I think Park takes this one easy, 6-0.  Crosby won't hit.  Wouldn't surprise me if its a run rule.

Hebert started, Upshaw relieved in 2nd or 3rd inning.  But after 2 innings it was 8-2 King.  To King's credit they were hitting the ball.  Hebert had no help from his teammates on the field.  Thinking back on it, if King could catch a fly ball the game would not have been that close, they dropped 3 or 4.  Horrible.

Pitiful game by Crosby.  Don't know if the true colors are coming out, but I think thats what happens when the kids get the big head and think they can walk in and the other team will lay down.  This is varsity and you can't spot any team 6 runs with errors on routine plays and expect to win.  Bad plays, no hitting in the clutch and questionable coaching decisions equals a loss. Lets see if Wiggins can motivate the players get serious and play the game they are capable of.  A lineup change was needed and to his credit he did that (although more was needed), but why bring JV players up to start a game?  Have you no confidence in any of other 10 players on the bench that are your VARSITY players?

Well I hope the Hill wins, but as a prediction GP wins 9-6.  If BH can hold down the top 5 of GP, they will win.  They don't go up there looking to walk and they are not afraid to bunt anywhere in the lineup.

I hope this was a wake up call for Crosby.  They haven't hit worth a flip lately.  For the most part high school coaches tend to stick with their lineup, but when you see holes in your game why don't they fix it?  Not taking nothing away from GP and their pitcher, but a varsity team seeing the same pitcher for 4 or 5 times, throwing 90% fastballs, you should be able to put together a rally.  Crosby never put any pressure on the pitcher.

KPark wins or should win 7-3.  Which Goose team will show up?

Crosby bats need to wake up and be more disciplined at the plate.  Since they beat them once already I'll go with Crosby 6-2

At this time I'm thinking about about playing the Hill Thursday....coaches probably thinking the same way.

Hey GCM Pats, what happened?  GCM have a bad game or is GP that much better?  I figured with Butler going it would be close game.

Tough call, beings I haven't seen GP.  My gut tells me GCM bounces back.  Of course I picked them to beat the Hill and that didn't turn out right....

I know the game needs to go 5 innings, but could the coaches have come to an agreement to end it at 3 innings?  UIL probably says it cant do that.  I think I would've instructed my players to start stepping out of the box when hitting; getting some quick outs.
