1. The person I feel for is Cody Butler... the lefty threw a heck of a game... Its been a long time where I have seen a pitcher pitch over 165 pitches and was still effective.... great game Cody and I hope you don't have to throw that many again....
I was wondering how many he threw (I figured 130-140).  Usually good hitters after you see them 3, 4 or 5 times can figure a pitcher out, but he had good movement on his pitches.
2. Anyone see an upset?  I don't.  Coogs roll 8-3
3. The Pats take this one, relatively easy 9-2.
4. Good job Crosby.  GCM's 2,3,4,5 hitters are tough to get through.
5. After seeing both teams, I think the bats from K-Park will prevail, 8-4.  That is as long as everybody plays.
6. 6-3 Crosby.  I think both teams are better than last year, which should give Crosby the slight advantage.
7. Langley hit 2 run single in 7th to tie and another single in 10th for the win.  Don't know who pitched for KP;  Gabryszwski went for Crosby.  Both pitchers went 9 innings and were very good.  Little bit of everything in that game.
8. Boy, what happened to Dayton baseball?  They used to be decent and it wasn't that long ago.
9. We'll see how everything shakes out in the next few weeks.  Pre season is over, district play starts and its 80 degrees outside. :)
10.
Dayton lost to Coldspring 9-5 yesterday.  They play North Forest and BH today.
My mistake on the Dayton/Coldspring game.  Crosby beat King 10-2 today.
11. LaMarque backed out of tournament so they went to a round robin instead which has convoluted the bracket.  I believe Dayton beat Coldspring yesterday.  Crosby is playing King now.
12. From the Chronicle: Other nominees • Jeremy Gabryszwski, Crosby: In a 10-0 win over Hallsville on Saturday in the Kilgore Oil Belt Classic, the junior pitcher threw a five-inning no-hitter and had a single, double and a two-run home run at the plate. In the tournament, Gabryszwski was 4-for-8 with four RBIs.
13. He didn't pitch the other night.  From what I've heard he will pitch....maybe this weekend at LCM.
14. Not a lot of hitting but good game.  Both pitchers were good.
