2. Looks like a matchup between two hot teams.  I will take GCM in 3.
3.
To those who plan on meeting at el Toros, is the one on Decker ok with everybody?
Traffic is horrible on Garth;  Baytown likes traffic lights don't they?  El Toro on Bayway is easy on easy off..IMO
4. I will take PNG in 3.  However, if Brenham sweeps it would not surprise me. Having not seen Brenham and seeing PNG in 3 games, I'm not sure the indians  have the pitching, other than Stone to keep the cubs down.  PNG has momentum, so we will see what happens.
5. Good job PNG, congrats.  Would've like to see Crosby advance, but PNG was the better team as if anyone could see with all the boneheaded errors the coogars made.  If I could pick a team to play Brenham between the two, it would be PNG; they seem to be well coached, disciplined and can flat out hit.  Good luck Indians-beat the h... out of Brenham.
6. Good job Eagles, finish them off. Quit blaming the turf, both teams played on it and I don't hear PNG or Crosby fussing about it.  Man up; you got beat by the better team that night
7.

BH has the advantage IMO based on their pitching. If Crosby can get to Long, then they have a good shot. GCM vs Lee is a toss-up. Not sure if Martinez will go now they have clinched. Seeley went 7 last night so I like the Patriots chances against rel's #2.
IDK.  Upshaw may get the start.. has a era 5.76.... tring to bring it down from the 10 runs bridge city put on him in 2 inn.. He has worked on his form sence then... and is throwing well.... also have Herbert in the stables if he gets a hit a little.  district era at 2.06 with 21 K's in 13 inn in district... If the coogs D can play well.... I have to give the advantage to them.. As for Lee vs GCM... I think GCM "D" and their hitting will beat LEE..
Personally, I would not throw Upshaw, but wiggins probably will and leave him in too long.  I would go w/ Hebert.
8. With what looks like only 1st place decided, how do you think 2nd, 3rd and 4th will pan out?  Somebody smarter than I will have to figure that out.
9.

anyone know how any 19-4a sub varsity did last night
Crosby beat GP 11-1 in 6.  Crosby is 9-2 with loss to Dayton in 9 inn and a 1 run loss to BH. If Crosby wins out they will atleast be co-district champs.
It's a shame they won't get to play Dayton again; I think the outcome would be different than the first game.  GCM supposed to be throwing that lefty on Thursday...gonna be tough
10. I look for GCM to take it and Lee and Crosby to fight over 2nd.  Will Wiggins get flexible will his rotation or stay as is??  Think I know the answer as leopards can't change their spots.
11. I think Brenham will lose one game in this series and it will be a close one.  But, they will take the other games with ease.  Brenham in 3.
12. Not really a "HUGE UNDERDOG" as you think!!!!!!!   Go Coogs
And will have two bats back.  As with the Vidor game, I think the game will come down to who makes fewer mistakes.
13.
Admid. Id agree somewhat with your assessment based on WEDNESDAYS performance, but would like to see them play again, they would be worthy of a #3-5 ranked team locally.... Id like to seen their bullpen arms tho....Thats what seperates Ned-PNG-Jasper-O'field during their district seasons from the rest is those four teams, is how those four local teams eat up innings with quality arms.... Yet #34 RHP(86-90mph) was in total command from the start once he realised his fastball was exploding bats, their pitching coach did a good job changing hitters eye levels and working into weak zones....the Mangum kid(#8) 2nd best shortstop Ive seen this Spring, arm strength, footwork, range, and quality leadoff with bat speed, and #33 3hole RF, Scrappy Dirtbag type player. I felt their head coach was so in sinc with his kids, ran at the right times, bunted at right times, just a very flawless game on his kids part....Obviously errors and Vidors bunt game defense gave some momentum to Crosby as well...But overall our area teams dont bunt much here, we hit-n-run but not execute bunts consistently, so defensively it is a question mark on most of our local playoff teams...Everyone is going to face an opponents ace so the Bunt game is a huge weapon, forces opponents to defend and communicate during a faster-paced game...I would have liked to see Crosby face a lil adversity to see how they would have responded though.... They did play a pretty flawless game last night. They won 2 innings in the game and never allowed any momentum shifts with minimal pitch counts. Vidor High and Coach Green, and assistants Jeremy, Sean, and Rex approach the game the right way, they have ALOT to be proud of, it was nice to see that program give its school and community something to place a cap on and be proud of, great season for the Pirates just the right team, unfortunately for our area, won last nights contest. Chris Fackler
Good post.  33 needed a nickname and I think you may have found it.
14. Good job Crosby taking advantage and putting on the pressure.  Vidor fans, this was the first time to see Hester and I thought he did pretty well, but he seemed to be throwing harder in the later innings.  I also noticed your coach had somebody warming up in the bullpen in the 2nd or 3rd inning.  Was he hurt?
15. /quote] So how did Crosby fair against this guy? One of his 2 losses or one of his 9 wins?
It was a loss in the Kilgore tourny for Crosby; believe it was 7-1.  Crosby had 2 hits Bullard had 3, but Crosby had 7 errors.  Guess that was a preview for the season--errors will kill you everytime and I think it will come down to that against Vidor.
16. From what I have heard, PNG has more hitters than pitchers, but GP can hit the ball too and are pretty well disciplined at the plate.  Should be entertaining.  I'll stay in district and predict GP in three.
17. Won't Crosby be "scared" to play Vidor?  ;D ;D ;D
I doubt those two folks will be coming to the game.
18. Varsity @ 4:00 JV @ 7:00 weather permitting
19.
Crosby has a #2?
Sure, and a #3.  They have won a lot of games and Gabby didn't pitch every one of them and they dang sure aint gonna put up 10 runs a game.  Ressler and Upshaw have been very good, although BH hit them both the other night.  Who will be Wiggins' #2?  Dont know but it probably wont be a JV pitcher.
20. Personally I am not surprised; returning the team that won it last year.  You shouldn't believe the so-called 'experts'.
