Orangefield is scrappy but Buna is really down this year. You can throw both games out for Orangefield and Kirbyville, cause both won't have any affect on this coming Friday. I expect a competitive game, and believe me OF knows exactly what they're getting into this week.

I know the emphasis in Orangefield the past few years has been getting bigger and stronger. You can definitely see that in the kids this year and last. Even without pads on right now we look big and that's not usually something we're able to say lol. Need some young kids to step up this year, lost several 3 year starters last year but I believe we have some talented kids to help fill that void. Probably have the largest line I've seen since the late 80's, and with a new play caller I believe our kids are going to surprise some people.

Who's classless here, a team cheering for a team that cheered for them, a team they bonded with throughout the tournament, a team they exchanged personal info with to keep in touch with them or someone getting on a message board calling high school kids classless. Hmmmm I think we know who's butt hurt 

I don't see WOS having any problems with Giddings if that's who they meet up after this next round. They have some athletes but nothing on the level of the Stangs. Now if their QB is back they might give the Stangs a little trouble, but even then I just don't see it. Defensively the Stangs will be able to do what they do and if #25 is the QB then they'll try to run the ball with him. He throws the deep ball pretty well, but he's not very accurate on the short to medium passes. I believe the Stangs will eat him alive and punish him all night. He's not super quick or fast but when we would get pressure on him which was often, he would take off and run and break tackles. He won't be able to do that against the Stangs. 
Offensively the Stangs shouldn't have any problem putting a lot of points on the board. We moved the ball well at times last night, but some negative plays on first down and some turnovers killed some scoring opportunities. Actually both our TD's last night were on pass plays, and we did some good things off of our shot gun spread formation last night. Dallas and the Stangs offense should move the ball at well against them.

I believe BC will give Carthage fits for a half or so but Carthage will slowly pull away in the 2nd half and win 42-28. I would be really surprised if Carthage completely shuts down BC offense. There's not a defense Dubois hasn't seen so they'll be ready. And to try to simulate a wing T offense in practice is tough to do especially against a team like BC that runs it so well. You can set your keys on how to stop it, but as far as timing and execution goes you just can't simulate that in 3 or 4 days of practice. Hope I'm wrong about the score and that the Cards pull this one out, especially after reading post from all the East Texas homers that give BC no chance.

A lot of mutual respect displayed on the field last night between both teams. After several hard hits from both teams you saw a hand extended helping each other up all night long. No taunting, no trash talking just a good clean football game. Loved seeing that.
The Stangs are solid as always, not as big as recent teams but man they have some guys that can fly. My Cats played well, ate up over 7 minutes of the 1st qtr and jumped out to an early lead. Defensively we came out strong, mixed up some coverages that gave the Stangs some problems but the Stangs adjusted and their athletes made plays as the game went on. Proud of our guys play though, didn't give up many big plays, made the Stangs drive the field for points and played hard as always. Got to get healthy though and have some kids step up. Lost another corner last night, down both starters and played two freshman last night as well.

Almost forgot, Orangefield takes 2nd in district. They have a good enough defense to contain King and HF. The sportsmanship was great tonight(as it always is with the Bobcats) and look forward to following them in the playoffs. With that said, we came out a little flat in the first half but a lot of that had to do with OF controlling the clock. Great win Mustangs and good luck to the Bobcats here on out!

Congrats to Lumberton on the win, y'all have a solid football team. Took advantage of an early mistake and 15 seconds in it was 6 to nothing. Hard to come back from that. Offensively the Raiders are very balanced and they throw a lot of different formations at you. Offense will keep them in some games but defensively they'll need better play to win district games. Of course that's my opinion but most of the night last night Orangefield ran the ball extremely well.
I was proud of my Cats last night, we're scrappy as heck and if we can ever put a full game together watch out. Kids could have quit after that huge mistake 15 seconds in last night or after being down by 20 at the half but they didn't. They outplayed Lumberton in the 2nd half and had chances to really make the game interesting but an untimely fumble after a re covered onside kick and then a holding penalty on a fourth and one at midfield after making the first down killed any chance of a comeback. We'll be better for playing this team, good luck to the Raiders.
