  1. losing gable from that D, special teams and offense hurts more than you know. Like I said, I hate the fighting and there is no excuse. Cap rock brought up things that he probably didn't even see. Once again, WOS is very good. Good luck the rest of the way.
  2. While we're looking at common denominators. Let's think about what is going on in those games(I'll only comment on the ones I saw). Against Crosby we are up by four touchdowns, block a field goal and they take a cheap shot on a player after the ball is dead. Against montgomery, similar scenario without the blocked field goal. Last night, I got the sense that WOS was getting very frustrated due to their own penalties and the fact that they couldn't settle into their normal game plan (i.e. running it down our throats and throwing the bomb...2 picks on deep balls and one on a blown screen). I'm talking about a lot of hands on facemasks, etc. that I could see from my seat. I hate the fighting, there is no excuse for it, and we paid a large price last night. But when you go spewing facts and stats, you should really look at the entire picture. There goes my karma.
  3. I was thinking the same thing. I think we were 2 or 3 players shy of what we would have normally had. I was surprised by that too.
  4. Too late to post last night....but the biggest factor for dayton's demise was John Gable getting ejected. For some reason they also lost another linebacker in Fred Hynson, I'm not sure why. Once those guys were gone we couldn't stop the run and WOS has plenty of runners. In losing those two guys we lost 2 special team players, 2 starting linebackers and the running back that really helps make our offense go. WOS took advantage of that loss and didn't even have to throw the ball the second half. WOS is very good. Dayton lacked the depth to recover from losing those two guys.
  5. sounds good. I don't mind when the field is wet, but when I turns into a mud pit... :'( :'(
  6. How's the weather in ya'lls neck of the woods?? have yall had a lot of rain over night etc.
  7. I'm so pumped, I don't even think I'll be able to sleep tonight. 25 1/2 hours to go!!!!
  8. Bobcats I believe and yes Cy-Falls beat WB and made it to the finals and lost to Cedar Hill
  9. Good...hope you're right about it being nothing.
  10. Like this is news to anyone. It doesn't matter if they return 2 every year. With the talent that is in La Marque....the juniors/seniors usually play and the rest of the juniors and the sophomores simply wait their turn. Not to mention the move-ins that seem to migrate to a perennial state power (i.e. southlake, LM, etc.). Even though they could win without them...it helps. In the dictionary beside the word reload is a picture of the LM Coogs. No matter what their enrollment they always have tons of talent.
  11. The last two times you've played Dayton you've won.....but by what??? A cumulative 4 or 5 points? Several of the teams in our district would compete with most of yours. Like Coop said, you need to check the score of the Angleton scrimmage. Just a scrimmage, but 700 yards of offense doesn't lie. You need to stay off this board if you can't post a more intelligent statement than that.
  12. I don't think he means to do that....he puts that on all of his posts and I've always wondered .... why??
  13. That winning percentage is unbelievable. Congrats to a great coach. That's the first time I've ever seen him. He just looks like a tough guy. :o
  14. I thought I remember hearing about Tatum playing against Silsbee. ???
  15. I can't quit laughing at that quote. They don't need any motivation. They can play any style ya'll bring. :-[ Teams that don't know how to play like a team or play with heart...don't have 5 state championships in 11 or 12 years.....Not to mention like 9 appearances in the Finals. :
  16. definitely....and they should run the "Annexation of Puerto Rico" play!!! for real....Hussey ... proven senior.
