what is happening at hamshire-fannett and coach price

i think bh will have a hard time making the playoffs and may not.  dayton will, but they cannot be as good as in the past three years.  injuries will make a difference as always, but if all healthy, dayton goes out in second round and bh never gets there to find out.

price will make a difference.

the winged t was popular in the late 50's and 60's and was brought back into existance from tubby raymond when he was the coach at the u of delaware.  belton, texas ran it for many years and was super sucessful with it.

hamshire fannett longhorns.  they have the tradition and price will lead them out of the pits, as he did barbers hill.  he is at a better school with better athletes as well as fans.

1A is 1A and 4A is 4A.  30+ years changes things.  past performance is great and builds tradition.  tradition only last as long as performance does. hope bh does well and i am sure you will have the records to back up a mediocre season.

bh will be good early, but the compitition will be too much to handle.  dayton will probably win in all, but maybe not. but ;they will be in the mix and i feel bh will be lucky to be in the mix. gage, and not cage, is a quality coach but he will need time to put his system in place and acquire the athletes he needs to run his o/d/st.  the plant workers may not give him enough time.  this is not 1A and this is not 1965-69.

when dayton broke the winning streak of liberty, if the ball rested in the hands of a liberty player, when dayton scored, liberty was still 2 touchdowns behind.

hope he does well. if he learned anything from earnie that is a plus

spanky could move right in and have immediate acceptance.

a flash in the pan is not good long term and long term is what c-town needs.. 

dayton will be fine. they do tend to start slow but i think that is the plan in order to find what will work and who can play in game conditions.  only problem i see is the height of the qb, plenty of ability but must roll and not steadily drop back.

you can have athletes, but if there is not proper coaching, good coaching will prevail.  dayton #1.

if you do not put dayton in the top 4 you are crazy.  they will probably win it all.  only crosby has a chance to beat them, and that is very slim.

dayton/bellville in 1976.  a rain storm.  bellville won 7-6 and dayton went for 2 with about 3 minutes left in the game.

the hardin jefferson/dayton game in 1966 or 67 was one to remember.  two point conversion and a guard catches the ball for the win.

hard to believe that byrd and basketball coach are sent on their way.  seems to me that this was a decision made before gage was hired but had to be executed by him or whoever was the new athletic director.

a worthy event that will honor a very good coach and person.  hope it is sucessful. he was inspirational to me.

it is questionable if dayton will win the district, but it is more questionable that bh will finish in the top 4.

i am afraid that bh will not finish in the top 4 ;this year.
