1. the completion of the grand parkway, which will be another 10+ years, will blow the enrollment of dayton up, not mont belvieu.  barbers hill will still struggle to make the playoffs, unless the uil starts putting 6 teams in the playoffs.
2. when does barbers hill start spring football and when is the spring game.
3. believe it or not, coach gage has proved himself statewide. hope his spring goes well without outside help.  he is more than qualified to evaluate the talent, even if he is from the north. as some say, he has forgotten more than most will ever know. he will make a difference at bh.
4. h-f may win the district championship which will please them. b-h may win the district championship which will make them feel good for 5-6 days and if they do not win the state championship they will be disappointed.
5. hope coach gage can have spring practice and get a good look at everyone.  if he needs help, i am sure all the fans will be available to give their input, from offense to defense and quarterback to linebacker.  he just thnks he has the experience and ability to coach, which he does.  i would hope he has no help from outsiders, but that is bh.
6. kenny roberts was pretty good.  all state if i remember correctly.  he also had a good group around him and marshall and rabbit.
7. joe evans deserves to be in the hall of fame. a very good coach and a better person.  i am proud that he coached me in jr. high.  best of luck to him and son andy.
8. don price will bring h-f back.  he will be the best fit since les and phil left.  i do not know him very well but i have kept up with him thru the years.  bh will realize their loss within the next two years.  h-f is better off and so is don price.
9. don price would be a plus to h-f.  i remember the days of les and danaher and he is in their league.  winning at bh is no easy task and he did it.
10. i wish him well, but he needs to go to class and perform there first.  hope he has the guts to do that and that his family will push him in that direction.
11. i hope that coach gage has the ability to bring in his own coaches.  i am sure there are good coaches at BH, but he needs to have ones that are familiar with him and his thoughts toward moving the football and stopping the opposing offense. being close knit within the staff is important and i am sure that he had this in stone before accepting the position.  the coaches that are let go, know that this is part of the coaching life, and will have no problem landing another job.  they may not make the same money, but if you coach for money, you are in the wrong business.  i wish the best to coach gage and his success at BH.
12. again, i say what makes you think that they want to live that close to the school.
13. what makes you think they want to live that close to the school.
14. coach gage is the real deal. he has done what needs to be done where he was. hope he has a free hand to do the same at the hill without the pressure from outsiders.  he will make a lot of money, but will earn every penny. 2 years from now i hope that he is glad that he accepted the position.
15. i am sure coach gage is very qualified to coach the eagles.  with his record, he has worked with many types of athletes and has adjusted his offense/defense in order to compensate for lesser talent and has rode the good horse when he had an exceptional player.  however, he may never have met the bh fans or parents.  good luck to him and may he continue to have success in the future.
16. why should it matter if price was let go, even though, he had built the program and been there for many years.  if i remember correctly there was a coach there for 12-15 years.  he won a state championship but was dismissed the next year when he did not win the district championship.  i think those were the days that you had to come in first in district to advance, not 4th.  price did good with what he had but if lee and humble come into the district, they need mack brown or saban.
17.
Very true on both parts on the run-thru and the smoke. Did anybody watch the the documentry "The U" very good. They talked about coming out of the smoke in their tunnel how it fired them up. But the point is you can have all the smoke and run throughs you want but when the smoke clears you better have the players to back it up and they did. Another point, as you can see there is people on here that are very passionate about BH and I'm glad to see that. I am very supportive of Coach Price. He coach one of my boys and did a very fine job as well as the assistants coaches. They taught him more than football. But you people need to realize that BH was here before he got here and it will be here long after we are gone. Don't get me wrong, I don't support what they (sup, board members and few select IDIOTS in the community - as they are refered to as "Stakeholders" - I'm still trying to figure that out) did to him but we will move on, I hope so, we had a good thing going with the athletic program. We've all heard the saying "If it aint broke, don't fix it." Am I saying the next guy will do as good as job as Coach Price? I don't know but time will tell, he's going to have to coach his butt off with the type of kids we have here. I've heard and read how we are loaded with athletes for the next couple of years. I'm wondering what games they have been watching or am I missing something. Every game I've been to I haven't seen a dominating player on the field from the 7th grade to the varsity. The next guy that comes in will have to thick skin to put up with the stuff that goes along with the job.
18. i am fairly sure that most of the "coaches" in the stands who did not like stewart's play calling or his player selection, have never worn a jock strap.
