3.
Don't forget Gibson at Sterling.  If he stays at receiver and learns the position, he could be a terror. On pure athleticism alone, he's already difficult to deal with. Sometimes it is hard to really judge across different offensive schemes and different talent levels of surrounding players. That's how you get a guy like Bryan White ending up with a scholarship to Texas when he shouldn't have, and a guy like Jarret Dillard is a 2 star recruit that goes to Rice. Lee has had some guys in the past that got more acclaim than they probably should have because of the offense Lee ran.  It's hard to name a Lee receiver that went on to do anything at the college level.  They were all products of the system. Richardson, on the other hand, is really good and probably gets less acclaim than he should because of the lack of any semblance of an offensive system right now at Lee.  Stick him on a team like Katy that is able to run the ball and get the qb some time to let the routes develop, single him up out there in coverage, katy bar the door. (no pun intended) He might need to red-shirt at A&M to learn the position, because I don't think he has gotten much instruction on how to run routes, etc.
You are so right Panama.....most of his QB's were a product too. I think the same thing with Garrett Gilbert. He was so used to one read and throw in high school......wasn't that way at the next level.
4. Oilers by 14........the HD team in 79 had 24 and 25 year old men on that team.....although they could have still been seniors I guess.
5.
don't worry ... AAW will take care of it.... he's always on the lookout for skipper's threads.  ;D 8)
Or he is busy bashing UT......
6. And good luck to H-I.....may the rest of your year be injury free
7. I do not see HD busting any bubbles this year.....except their own
8. Good points TVC.......I just do not get these folks.....men and women....that do this. Lack of self control I guess.
9. Prayers from an Eagle Fan in Nigeria......hope for a speedy recovery
10.
If he assaulted her on July 5th, why did she go back on the 7th?
I agree with this.....and why is this just coming out in October? I am not taking his side. He needs the book thrown at him but does it take 3 months to decide?
11. Painful and ugly.......Broncs by as many as the want to score
12.
I'm just sick of seeing this group of athletes being wasted. They could have scored 21 points just by calling a Hail Mary every play for crying out loud. They used to tell Richardson to go deep and chunk it to him in double coverage all the time when he was a sophomore...worked more times than  not. Certainly would have worked with Landry and Richardson tonight.  The one time Landry went deep, he was running wide open 5 yards behind everyone.  Landry and Richardson are both taller, faster, quicker and can jump higher than anyone in BH's secondary. They should be testing them every other play. Instead they try to get into a game of execution.  Going to get drilled by BH if you try to out-execute them.  Lee just can't execute a dink and dunk, precision passing offense.  Don't have the discipline to do it without making a mistake. It's like they have a couple of Randy Mosses, but they want them to run Wayne Chrebet routes. Obviously not as talented as Randy Moss, but it's an analogy. Just send them deep man.  Get down the field and I'll chunk it as far as I can and you go and outjump and outrun that guy covering you because you are 5 inches taller and have about 10 inches on him in vertical leap. Quit all the punting too.  You are probably netting 15 yards a punt this year.  You can't stop anyone from going 65 yards any more than you can 50.  I almost feel like he thinks so far inside the box that he doesn't realize that he can go for it on 4th.  Someone needs to mention it to him that it is an option, maybe it hasn't dawned on him.  If he actually considers it and decides not to, that's even worse.  No excuse for not going for it at the 50 on 4th and 2 with this abomination of a defense.
Panama.....I feel your pain. I graduated from Lee back in the early 80's.......just not the same school in any fashion. I have gone on record saying I do not think Lee will even exist in 5 or 6 years. Sad to say but I believe it. A lot of history and tradition down the tubes. As for this years team, good athletes that are being let down by bad coaching.....or lack of coaching....take your pick.
13. Nah....I had moved off and when I came back we settled in BH.....my son attends BH.....no way I was moving into GCCISD....not a chance.
14. I am reminded of a quote from Bob Knight when he was at Indiana. His Hoosiers were down 6 with a minute to go in the NCAA tournament against LSU. It was something like this....."We were struggling and I thought all hope was lost and I looked at their bench and saw Dale Brown was coaching......It was then I knew we still had a chance". I think you could substitute Sedberry in for Dale Brown. That said...... BH - 32 BL - 18 That hurts me a little because Lee is where I graduated from
15. Hey Panama..... I was at that game......my uncle was on that RSS team. Permian was a machine back then.......the only team that could have kept up with Permians 1st team was Permians 2nd team
16. ECBucFan......I like the Shane Falco signature..... I also liked the quote in the movie Radio......."ain't nothing like huntin' for a win on Friday Night and wakin' up Saturday mornin' when you found one"
17. Nice win WH.......enjoy for a day then get to work and prepare for the next game......no relaxing.
18. I wish I could have been there.....sounds like a great game.....enjoy the win tonight then forget about it tomorrow and prepare for the next game just as if it was Dayton again.
19. Good Luck WH......I miss being at those games. I hope it is a good, hard hitting game and injury free.
20. Many prayers from BH....having a son that is a Junior in high school......I just cannot imagine.
21. I follow the results of a few teams... I graduated from Baytown Lee......back when Baytown shutdown for The Game My oldest graduated from West Hardin and I make a few of their games every year My youngest is at BH so we go there most of the games Out of all of them.....I love those 1A games
22.
Hardin JV- 20 W. Hardin JV - 20 Final
Did they lifeflight a kid from WH JoHarr?
23. No injuries and good fundamentals. A win in scrimmage is about as useful as a 7 on 7 state championship.......
24. Panama......I have said for over 6 months now......I do not think there will be a Lee High School in 5 years. I believe Baytown will be back to a 2 school system with Lee College buying up Lee High School. That way they inherit a baseball field, Football stadium with a track. I hate to see that day.
25.
Exactly. Which was why I stressed twice that Lee may go winless again. Heck, Dallas Skyline seems to have 10+ guys a year get scholarships to major schools and they never make any noise in the playoffs. I was even surprised at how the heck Lee won the 400 relay at district.  They were about two seconds slower than they usually are.  This district is just not that athletic as a whole.  Well coached football teams at times, but not much speed. The UH guy must be a disgruntled Sterling fan or something, not sure.  This group of skill position players is as good as most that Olin ever had.  May not have the pure speed, but they have good height, jumping ability and ball skills.  They just don't execute at anywhere near the Olin level.  They don't execute as well as most Pee-Wee league teams actually.  If Olin were still coach, I would be as pumped or this year as I have been in years.  As it is, I just hope they win a game or two.
I agree Panama.......I went to Lee years and years ago. I live in BH now but still watch a game or 2. I was not an Olin fan at all. I hate to see Lee reduced to what it is tho.
