1.
I agree, PNG won't be squat, the same with everyone else except Livingston. BH will have 22 or 23 returning.  That's number depends on how much effort Stewart puts forth to recruit Townley away from BH (watch what happens here folks).  Denny (Freshman starting QB) will be returning as a Sophmore and be a stud if he stays healthy.  Got some real talent moving up to fill bench spots and a starting spot here and there.  The lines should be loaded again.  We will win district next year and get past the area round.
I am really curious to see what happens with Townley. I know he was looking at the end of the summer last year. This will be interesting unless he wants to stay and play baseball for Denny.
 2. FatMaverick.......all other posters.......wish I could sit here and jaw more but I have to go build a fence. I hope I do not get a penalty for hitting the nails too hard........ ;D In all seriousness......The day before Thanksgiving I went to visit an old school friend at MD Anderson. As I left and walked down the hall I was really struck with just how lucky most of us are. We all jab and argue and poke fun even get mad because our team is no longer in the hunt. I saw kids and adults alike that were hoping to see a new year. Just some perspective. I get upset like anyone.......but in the end it is just a game played by 16 to 18 year old kids.
 3.
Maybe Manvil will learn how to win when their band learns how to march. What a joke....................
That is classy......go after kids that are supporting their school. Good Job Steve. And folks on here have been talking about Manvels lack of class.
 4.
I agree, you're going to have "bad apples" with every fan base.  Tonight, however, the taunting and "dirtiness" of the Manvel players, coaches, and fans went way overboard.  Not being a sore loser, as many will say, but I was there, I saw it and as you can see, several other posters feel the same way.  I was texting while at the game, saw a lot of the unneccesary hits in the head, taunting, etc. that were never called by the refs.  This is to be expected, however, not to the extreme that Manvel was carrying it.  The Manvel coach stayed on the field forever, whining and crying to the refs and was acting like a 2 year old. I agree, Manvel has a lot of good athletes, however, I think thier immature behavior is going to do them in.  Best of luck to LaMarque......pulling for you in your victory over Manvel.  Just watch your back...the cheap shots will be in abundance from this Manvel team. End of discussion.
I was there also. Both coaching staffs were on the field excessively. The only time I saw Manvel head coach talk to the ref for an extended period of time he was just getting an explaination of a call that happened on the PNG sideline (the same as PNG coach getting a visit to explain why #36 had been ejected). I spent a little time on both sides. Both sides had their jerks (small %) and both sides had their great fans (large %). I did not like the play of #33 when PNG beat BH. I said so on this board and was roasted for it. He is fired up, he is a fierce competitor, he is a great kid etc....... but now it is different because it happened to you. It was a good game by 2 good teams that coming out of halftime could have gone either way. I hope that wasn't someones house burning last night that you could smell half of the game
 5.
Safety. Two TD's. Two 2 point conversions. Congrats to Manvel. For all their talent they are the dirtiest team I have ever seen. I am not sure how Manvel can have two players get penalized for punches to the head of our players and Padia gets ejected for protecting himself. Also Thompson gets a personal foul for pumping his fists while #17 taunted the ENTIRE game. A whole lot of talk for a player who made one catch. Like I said lots of talent, just hate seeing such bad attitudes and poor sportsmanship.
And for PNG, there was no bad attitude and poor sportmanship? It kinda went both ways.
 6. According to weather.com it will be 52 at kickoff dropping to 47 by games end

Anyone going early to the stadium for a tailgate party. I would say thats gonna be the next step for high school football games since all the stadiums are catching up with college ball. Thinking about doing it myself!
My crew will be there early.
What do u call early??
Just remember there is a 1pm playoff game at Stallworth......Pearland and one of the Cypress schools I think We will be heading out around 10 or so.
8. I reread my post......yep, just as I thought........free was nowhere around beer.....LOL

Thinking about doing it myself!
I heard that Stallworth Stadium doesn't allow tailgating at the stadium
Might have to tailgate somewhere close to the stadium if that's true.
My brother lives about 1/2 mile from the stadium.......I will already have the smoker going with brisket and beer can chicken (and a few cold beers as well).....maybe we can work something out.....
 11. I buried my dad a month ago........I know how you feel sir.......many prayers from The Hill
 12. Well......I went to the gym.......got a cold coke and a good seat only for Atascocita to not show.......this was a Friday night home game for BH that was changed to Saturday afternoon.......now Atascocita says the venue changed too.
 13. AND.........in some cases........the best athletes are in the stands because they just do not want to play.
 14. Some of it is that high school football just isn't the end all to folks the way it was when I was growing up. When I was a kid at 5pm the stores were closing because everyone wanted to get to the game. I do not think it is that way anymore across the board.....it is in some towns but not as widespread as back in the day.
Did you really just say that? ;D ;D If BH didnt drop the ball on the 6, didnt have a delay of game on the 4 yard line and didnt chunk the ball down the field on 2nd down and down by 1 TD BH would have taken that game by a TD
Famous words of Eagle07 "Coulda shoulda woulda....If my Aunt had balls, she'd be my Uncle." PNG left more then 28 point on the field they should've scored also.
Please name these 28 points they left on the field. I wanna know
It's all about the quarterback making the wrong read and if the right read was made then they could have run 14 more plays each drive opening up the scoring.......LOL

 17.

Season at a glance: The season started off with almost a complete new coaching staff.  A completely different offense was installed.  22 or 23 of the Eagles are underclassmen.  Three quality, but very different QB's fighting for #1 spot.  The pre-season pick for QB was overshadowed by excellent play from K. Denny who is a freshman and new to BH schools.  His dad is the new baseball coach taking over for long-time coach Gill Staulbaum. Receivers moved from the spread to running back and a few new ones stepped in.  Defensive leadership was found in Senior Bellard, and Senior safety Morton made a name for himself on both offense and defense.  Morton brought back memories of the Mason Fisher high-flying catches many of us remember.  The defense started off a little slow, however after getting a "beating" (as Coach Gage Put it) they played very good defense and allowed very few points the next several games.  Offensively they started out rusty, but still managed to beat Nederland, and ended up with only 1 district loss and captured 2nd place in district.  Should have won their first playoff game, but turnovers and a few really bad penalties kept them down, as had happened in the Dayton game.  A 3rd and inches play-call did not help matters either, but we all wished we had something back. Overall the team exceeded expectations by most. The future is bright for Bh with 22 or 23 returning next season, with most key players returning.  There are a number of players expected to step-up in the varsity role and a lot of very young kids who are already there.  I assume the offense will gain complexity as the kids get used to the basics and we will see more pass/run balance as the kids develop.  Experience, talent, and quality coaching should take the Eagles well into the playoffs next season.  The kids have really taken to this new staff and the staff seems to really be interested in the kids.  As it often is in Region III, just depend on who you draw and who wants it more.  Exciting times on the "Ant Mound"......."Bump"........"Hill".....or whatever you want to call us.
Well said JJ....very impressed w/ what Gage has done in 1st year. Equally impressed w/ how the kids responded to new coaches and change. Where are all the outsiders that thought BH was stupid getting rid of Price ?
Gage still has not done anything Price did. So, I am still not impressed. All you gage supporters will realize the mistake you made by getting rid of a coach like coach price. That is the problem  in BH, the fans run the athletic program. What I mean by that is, the best players don'y play but players who parents have the most money plays. That will never happen over here in Jerry's Program. Thats why we will put another 54-0 Whoooooopin on the hill next year for coach Price again. I don't have time to talk about this any more. We have more important issues to deal with like kp this saturday. So tell gage to come get a seat and learn what a 21 century offense looks like and not a ice age one.
I will agree with you on the community/parent issue. Too much input.....even in the interview/hiring process. That will have to change to move to the next level.....in my opinion. I will say that I think Coach Gage got as much out of his team as he could........
 18. I think domestic violence is frowned upon more than the word dumbass.......except maybe in mid county. Two dogs.....you won the game.....but I do not think anyone got slapped
 19. Holy Cow......dumbass is that upsetting? Really? I meant no ill will on the post but I bet if he had been flagged for the hit he would have been called worse than that on the sideline........and I never made a reference that the coach condoned or taught that. Sorry if I ruffled any headdress feathers
 20. I had a long visit with former Lee Coach......Coach Herrington is an amazing baseball coach and a better person.....Lee misses him.
 21. Good game maddog and best of luck. There is a difference in intensity and being a dumbass.......#33 crossed that line several times. #77 was intense but controlled himself very well. Maddog.....very good luck to you in your future endeavors.
 22. 4A #16 BH beat 4A #9 LaMarque by 20 tonight
