1. I don't have any skin in this series.....I really like Durant and cannot stand Kobe or Artest
 2.
Kevin jones cedar bayou jr hi baytown great coach ,mentor and all around great guy , really cares about ALL the kids at his school!!!
I 2nd Kevin. He has chosen to stay at Junior High and loves working with those kids. I know it isn't southeast Texas but Kent Fuller (was West Hardins head basketball coach a few years around 2006 and 2007) is 7th and 8th grade coach in all sports in Belton. They own their district.
 3. No argument Tiger, I was asking. I saw a statement and knew of Bellaires success. I had not really heard much about Brenham.
 4. This is beautiful tonight........the thug and kobe going down
 5. Like I said.....I went to a 5A school and know all about Bellaire and kids went to a 1A. I don't usually just go to games to watch, I usually have to have a little more interest than that.
 6.

Brenham has always been a team that everyone has looked up to as a  get it done team due to the coaching experience and a very well put together athletic program that includes enough coaches to have almost one for each position. This I'm guessing is made available through backing from their community, one that supports all sports and welcomes many visitors to their area.  Bringing enough players to fill more than one bus is an awesome luxury that many schools cannot pull off but I'm sure would if they could, it sure makes a neutral site seem like playing at their own. Hope their players know how fortunate they are to have the bar set so high and all the people that help make it happen.  Good luck to both teams!!! and the Class of 2012!
Great post, and it's very true.  I'm sure the players know, because coach Long reminds them every chance he gets that they play for the state's most storied program.  He makes sure they know that putting on the Brenham jersey means they're not just playing for theirselves, but for their teammates & their town.  They are privileged to play for Brenham, but that privilege comes with an awful lot of pressure as well.  They are under a microscope and they get every teams best shot.  Due to the past success of the program, seasons are considered a failure if we don't atleast play in the regional final.  It has it's advantages and disadvantages, but it's always a fun ride!
I do not follow Brenham and I am relatively new to 4A but isn't that statement cutting Bellaire short? I am just asking because I know Bellaires baseball history and have never really heard much about Brenham.
 7. No word yet on series setup? I see both coaches wanting a 3 game series
 8. In the words of the immortal Joaquin Andujar........"I can sum this up in one word......you never know"
 9. We handled your little brother kinda like UT handles its little brother all the time........and it should be a great series
 10. I heard just a bit ago that BH game has been moved to kingwood at noon.....trying to confirm
 11. BH can't win it because they aren't from 17-4A and that is against the rules
 12. So beating PNG twice, no matter how early in the year does not speak anything? That is interesting.

People need a gold ole fashioned politician who absolutely means business and all that fancy stuff is not needed! A real politician that knows what's going on anywhere and everywhere!
::) And would your first order of business be the banning of flip flops?
Only in church.....LOL
 14. That looks like daytons offensive line
 15. also replacing 3 out of 4 linebackers I believe.......you have to have the next group prepared but it makes it tough

Flip flops should only be for wearing around the house, the beach, or the pool! I can't believe that parents think it's OK to let their children dress whatever they feel like dressing to church on Sunday mornings! More than 50 years ago, the majority of the men wore slacks, dress shirts, and ties as well as dress shoes to church and women wore hats and gloves as well! Now, they wear like sports jerseys, shorts, and sneakers! That would be acceptable on Sunday evening services when most pastors wear like khakis and a button-down or polo shirt on those nights! I was taught to wear my modest Sunday best! I respect that the times have changed since them but those who are Catholic and Mormon never thought it's acceptable to dress like they do to Sunday morning services! We should go back to the tradition of dressing up for church as well as eating out?
So we go from a coach leaving players on a road trip to what people dress like? What's wrong with flip flops? I wear them almost everyday, does that make me a bad person? Does that mean I think I am owed something? Come on wow. I am sorry this isn't the 50s anymore, I am sorry I didn't have to walk a mile to school uphill both ways. Does it really matter what they are wearing? They are still going to church. Is changing the way people dress going to somehow make them better people, is it going to make them better christians? I don't think so.
It is respect. As an 11 year old through high school I did not like the dress up thing or see its relevance but I did not dare argue with dad. I would never wear flip flops to church. Very disrespectful. Also.....not aimed at you falcon........pull those dang pants up and stop trying to be some thug you aren't.
I agree with the pulling up your pants thing, but he was talking about wearing shorts and tennis shoes to church. Doesn't seem that drastic to me.
It is with many because it was just something we did not do. I do not think it makes one better than the other and church is not a fashion show but out of respect for the place you are in and the people who are there I still like a little higher dress code. But here we go with age differences again. When I was a kid and the preacher saw me talking in church in our little group away from parents, he shut down the sermon and had my dad come get me and take me back to his seat. This was a church of 300 so it took a minute with everyone watching. I hated that man for a week or so but you know what? It never happened again. He would have been run out of town today for embarrassing little Johnny or Susie

 18. Tongue in cheek falcon.......nothing intended. I also do not expect you to agree with me. You are 22 and see the world through different eyes. It would be interesting to be on here when I am 73, you are 47 and see how perceptions may change. When I was 14 - 20 my dad, rest his soul, was the dumbest man I knew. When I turned 40 and my kids were teenagers I thought he was a genius.

 20.
KIDS today......one word......UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!  They are cruel!!! And they will destroy anyone at any cost, doesn't matter who you are - heck that's the mentality of parents these days.....Parents need to go back to parenting and Administrator/teacher/coach needs to break out the paddle..... I dont' feel these kids were put in harms way either and if that was my kid that had been left at the store, the COACH would be the last person i'd be looking for.....This generation needs to be taught RESPECT!!!!
I agree 100% sir........but........respect starts at home. The child must respect him/herself and their family first and that is where the problem originates.
 21. We will leave it at that and just disagree I guess........but there is a huge since of entitlement now. I have to work now, no government checks here.
