Good Game Lumberton Raiders. A few observations: 1)  Aain, second Game where Rhone is cramping badly.  I feel something is wrong here and on a second note is interrupting Silsbee's offense with in and out play.  Hope he solves issue though as he is an excellent athlete. 2)  I was bored stiff with Silsbee's offense.  3 Rushers most of the night and couldnt get off a pass play, unless it was a screen, without Daniels getting hit.  Horrible blocking.  Poor preparation. Lumberton came with a plan and stuck to it.   The result was a steady boring game plan but was effective for a win. 3)  Defense stayed on field the "Whole" first half.  To come out and hold Lumberton to 0 points was something.  Good job D.  Will come in handy later in season. Just my two cents.  Save it or spend it.

Enjoyed the game Tigers.  Good win.    I did see something that bothered me though..... Conditioning looks a little suspect.    Rhone with the serious cramp situation and thought I saw a kid throwing up on sideline.    Coaches may need to remind players that water would be better to keep hydrated than other forms of liquids. Just an observation.

any new news?  Dont see him on any roster lists, depth chart etc.? Would like to follow his progress.

Was talking with a former Tiger player and the subject turned to a former coach with "similiar" styles. Anyone remember Coach Rivera...... Pretty sure if the rumors are true about not liking the coaching style of Coach Trawhon then they really would have hated him. Sad to hear that parents (if true) are even more thin skinned than most student athletes today. Good luck to Todd and best wishes.

Huge talent from this area.  Bring him home Woodard and let him do the rest.

Fantastic look into the football interest outside the area from former players and current players and coaches. Give 'em hell Coach Woodard and show them the reason so many good players come out of this area. We love football.  The players will bring it home if given the support. Go Big Red.

Could someone please tell me where all the games are being played this weekend. I cannot seem to find a thread that delivers this info.  Have heard conflicting information as well on several games.  Especially the Silsbee/Navasota game. Any help is appreciated.

You are absolutely right, Silsbee has a great football team. After they work out there Qb to Wr misscues, they will be hard to deal with. They do need to work on there rush defense, cause Diboll's TnT Taylor gave them fits. All in all I think my Jacks where lucky to get out with a W fri. night. Any team that takes Silsbee lightly will find themselves playing catch up with a team they probably can't catch. class act dolemite. nice statement coming from the other side. sounded like you have a heck of a running game to deal with this season. good luck to the lumberjacks.

well well... a fumble. like I said. hitting drills non existent. been that way for the last ten years. I hope they win but can hardly stand the tackling or should i say the lack of. Keep fighting offense.

Not really a shock for me.. Silsbee players do not tackle very well. Apparently tackling drills are non existent during practice. A shame such an offense is going to go to waste tonight.

Quit trying to argue with this guy. Keep you're money. Lamar will benefit from the programs being put in period. Take some one of his own arguments, " Lamar has done well under Jimmy Simmons." You guys be nice. He is just excited. But i would bet that you would need some binoculars in order to see anything well enough from the 80 yard line. Hang in there. Just glad I have an alumni in the family so that when season tickets go on sale I might have first shot at some descent seats. Here's hoping.....
