  1. If it wasn't for the Coach's T-Shirt saying WOS I would have thought this was Penn State..... Looks like them Tigers better be ready. I will try and get out there and take some photo of them 'Cats later this week. I am on nights right now but after seeing this pic I can't let them Stangs' show of them "little " muscles without showing them what some "real" muscle looks like.
  2. :o On second thought, let's stick to the veer. 8)
  3. What??? Average??? : I hope every average 3-A team out there doesn't have an athlete like that Fitzhenry and a LB/FB like that Dock. I talked to a lot of WOS fans who were there and said that them 2 alone were a handful. Yes they had a chance to score, but still would have to go for two if I remember right. So, based on what I seen from WOS last year, if Giddings was an average team then WOS had to be an average team.... :-\ Makes since to me..... NOT!!! Don't let it get to you WOS92. It's madness and it might be contagious.
  4. ANY INPUT on how and why that might happen or you just one of those football geniuses that attended K-VilleBalla's 2-Day seminar?
  5. I like the way you think. We have been scheduling tough pre-district games the past few years and It looks like it is paying dividends during district play. So I guess that means if we go 9 - 1 then the Stangs' go 10 - 0.... Could very well be the other way around.....
  6. Aggies' might need to correct me since I was in the service still, but I believe they ran the spread back in the late 90's and were pretty successful with it. I heard they were a little lighter on the bodyweight back then. Silsbee has been on a streak with pretty good size players the last few years and I think that works real well into an I-Formation/Veer running game. Still learning the X's and O's myself, I hope I have learned a bit....
  7. One good way to get a QB hurt if a safety or cornerback figures it out. POW!!!! Highlight reel hit!!!
  8. Hang in there, 2-2. You're skin thickens after a full season in at least one of the sport forums. 8)
  9. I have heard it all now. This thread has a great moral and mature point for most aspects in life, but, sounds to me like someone or someone they know got their feelings hurt. Playing football results in players engaging in situations that result in at least two major components. 1. Intensity 2. Violent Collisions Funny, how in this thread, cursing does not take a back seat to those two results. Personnally, calling someone and idiot, or that they are stupid is just as wrong as putting an adjective in front of it.
  10. For Real? Won't this be an interesting district to watch this year...
  11. Really? What school are you attending or speaking of? Just Curious...
  12. Interesting quote, "Ozen always has the horses to compete"? The real question is do they have the jockey needed to control the horses? 8)
  13. Key word in my statement was "supposedly". If there really is a penalty then it should be called but I rarely see one that is a legitimate one. As for Klein Bearcat's response, it was an excellent addition to the rule explanation. I had totally forgotten about the coach that was hurt and I was not aware that he was suing. I stand corrected.
  14. Means well??? I guess we have different ideas about that... Stay gone Balla... Do everyone a favor and stay gone...
  15. Are we really discussing this..... This rule is about not being able to move the chains and set the markers to keep the game moving... not so much about the coach on the field. That is a sportsmanship issue. This rule is about as bad as the block in the back that supposedly happened 50 yards behind the game winning break-away running touchdown.... This is why I do not officiate football. Some rules are just stupid. But it is what it is....
  16. This is the reason I did not vote.... Can't be overrated before the season in my opinion. Need some data to back up the accusation.
  17. WOS92, You're program has my respect. We had some tough games while I was in school and a couple were close heartbreakers. Except for my last, (33-0) Never really got over that beating .... J/K Loved the games and look forward to more... Keep making Southeast Texas proud.
  18. I haven't seen this on our site and I thought some of you guys might want to see this video. Hope this is not against the rules, I am borrowing this link from the sister site in Houston. This kid is unbelievable. [Hidden Content]
  19. "I feel the wave of nausea and the pain in my chest as the flood of memories from last year's game come storming back." Oh, to be great like the 'Stangs.......
  20. Is this based on the pre-season polls and team previews? If not then the replies will be biased. 8)
  21. Complete refersal of the original post. For the record the "so-called blowout" was Lumberton 18 - Silsbee 16. If you guys would quit building shopping centers you might stay 4A. Judging the population boom in Lumberton, you will be in 4A a long time. Silsbee will be back up there eventually and then the rivalry can resume. Until then, can it with the blowout talk until it happens in this millenia. Matter of fact check the stats and see how miserable Lumberton has been. Real Bad. I mean real bad. The Forum is "Southeast Texas All-Time Football Records".
