Yep. Maybe playing them twice before anyone else gives them tigers a leg up in the district race. Those Dogs' from up north have got to be hungry now. GOOD LUCK 21-3A. I would not want to meet up with anyone in this district. You talk about playoff experience from just playing the regular season. GO Tigers!!! 8)

GET interesting? This district was hot before it started playing. This loss by BC was huge because now with most of the tough games off their schedule, except for Jasper (no offense towards the other teams meant) the pressure is on BC now. Jasper has a great opportunity Tuesday to put BC in 3rd place in the district with a win.

Spurger is a real young team. Here is to greener pastures to come for them. Great game by High Island. Was kind of suprised they couldn't really put the gamne away early though. Coach Hooker is doing a great job.

Did a game once with Dishon pitching. He throws hard but is kinda wild. Walks will kill ya in a game this tight.

After reading a few of the posts about umpires and hearing some of the things said by players, coaches, fans, parents and critics, I wonder if any of these umpire haters and foul mouth kids would say them to this umpire? Just curious.... 8) [Hidden Content]

There can be NO malicious act during a baseball contest. If you "run over" the catcher you will be ejected. You better trip and fall into him or he better dive into the baseline. Tough rule but necessary for safety.

Must have hit a sore spot there.... :-\ Bottom line BC is undefeated in District.

Cards' are facing a tough three-game stretch. Silsbee, Buna and then Jasper in 5 Days. If any of the starters bobble then the bats will have to come through, again. BC can silence most of their critics (BH and WB) with a 3 game sweep. Of course this is just the random thoughts of a baseball fan.... 8)

Finally a break for this kid. Hard work always pays off in the end. Congrats to Barrera and here's to the chance to showcase your talent. God Bless your therapy and a good recovery.

If Statum threw last game then who will throw? I haven't heard about any other experienced pitchers who can match the Dogs' hitting prowess. (Yes, I know Statum is a Freshman). I was at the first game and if Jasper keeps hitting like they have and Statum isn't in, then it could be ugly. Jasper 7 - OF 4 District is to tough at the top, but if somebody stumbles and HJ keeps winning they might sneak in.

Not a strange call. Called interference. Both runner and batter/runner out by rule. Hard one to take on the last play of the game, but it sounds correct. Of course, umps have been known to be wrong.....

Great article. I never pitched much but when I did I disliked a steep mound. Felt like I was stepping back up a hill to throw. Besides that. one of the first things you see on the field is the infield. A good mound is great for pitcher confidence.
