Offensive scheme has to have routes to run. First year in a LONG TIME for established routes (Within a Run First Offense) in Silsbee. KB will clean it up. Right now he doesn't have to because his skill set allows him to get away with it. That being said it is his responsibility to improve after being coached, but go ahead and man him up. You better get to Jones quick otherwise he gets the ball off and then it becomes very much a skill game, how many DBs in 4A can match up without help? (que the WOS mob) jmo

I expected as much, as far as o-line improvement. Just needed a little live action with a true opponent to bang home the techniques and responsibilities Coach Smith has been hammering. Even a marginal improvement was gonna yield some good results from the skill positions. Will be nice to see some game clock disappearing while Silsbee's O is on the field. Ready for Week 0. Right side tackle was busy as it seemed most running plays came their way. Either by design or cutbacks. The oline improved significantly the next series and if it's any indication, then experience is the mother of teachers. As it has always been.

That's a nice point but I wasn't gonna mention it. Tyler had already made three guys miss and had another one on his back when the cleanup came in.
