Not telling.... Doesn't matter if I remember right. Plan seems to be leaning towards a triple coverage on one receiver and not worry about anyone else.

Silsbee sporting a nice rotation. 6 Seniors / 1 Junior / 4 Sophomores (I Believe) Can spot 3 Seniors or 3 Sophomores up front AND maintain a Senior back row at same time. Coach Hicks made the point clear of her confidence in her underclass players. Started game with 3 Soph's up front and then rotated big hitters Carmenar and Brooks right behind them. Powerful lineup with lots of versatility and no glaring weaknesses. Should be a very good season for the Lady Tigers.

Specualtions are a beautiful thing, Fodder for the masses.

Lets hope his passing game is ready. I want nothing more than a true test of Silsbee's Passing Defense. Could not get off the field last year on third & 4th Down (Carthage). Need stops on those long conversions.

This makes no sense, and I'm not talking about he grammar. First off: You really think that a football matchup with SIlsbee is not good for football? Then tell Thompson to quit scheduling it. Second: PLENTY of Silsbee fans have mentioned MANY times about our conditioning. It is poor. We know it. Third: I cant recall ANY Mustang fan saying that ANY matchup between the two in ANY sport wasn't a good matchup. Not in the 'Stang DNA. Waiting for the 'Stang posters to "handle" you. Disappointed otherwise if it doesn't happen.

Ill say it again.. this conversation goes no where for one reason. History. But try this on.... How many TRULY believe its about individual talent this year? Not a total team efficiency. Be honest. I can't tell you how many times WOS has fed crow to teams and except for some truly exceptional athletes the most dominating aspect of WOS is History. That history comes from success. They have my respect as a program. I'm sure there are others. That success breeds a mindset of winning. That mindset is what the players look forward to. The fear they instill in other teams before the first snap. Opponents have to overcome that fear of missing that one tackle, that one play that starts the roll. That one play that puts them down by 7, then 14, then ...... well you get the idea. Its rarely about individual talent. Its about a team mindset. Pay attention people. The Silsbee fans that take the time to brave this board and have to be fed the crow of past history are talking about a hopeful and promising change in mindset. A team mindset. If any team can find it, feel it, embrace it and then build on it, it is Silsbee. Will it be this year. Who knows. There is a good chance of success. They can feel it. They are on the hunt. Up to the players to believe and then embrace. They have the talent. Hands down. #TigerNation

K. Barnes was just figuring it out at the end of last year. His skill set (Strength, size, speed) will only make the other players even more Dangerous. Mackey, with his sure handedness, had 1400yds because of timing issues between the outside receivers (under thrown, over thown, etc.) IF Jones can get on the same page with Barnes & Lowe.. where the true speed is, then big plays down the field is what will open up every other part of the offense. Look for Tyler and Thomas to have HUGE years. Tyler is the feature back for sure, but leave Thomas one on one with some poor kid and its lights out. You will almost never bring him down with one tackler. My dark horse breakout player. Adonis Thomas. jmo

Daniel Elizondo following Tiger Nation with vigor. Didnt make this morning but was told emphasizing team discipline. Mistake made. Everybody down. Conditioning is a must for Tigers since it's seems to always take a month for Tigers to gel. Oh...one more thing PLENTY of size in the trenches. Could be an interesting change in offense style.

More of my point that this game should be a litmus test for Silsbee's defense. Whether or not the mentality change is in the works. Silsbee fans hope so. No reason with the talent they have not to be playing a real aggressive style of defense. I know of another school that has achieved great things this way....

If what Im hearing is true then Silsbee is pushing a change in defensive mentality. No more of the "soft coverage" venue. Was painful to watch corners and safeties place so far off receivers.

Well then .... Pitching has gotten even MORE thin at the High School level. Mixed feelings.
