Vidor sent 27 batters to the plate and was uo 16-0 before Orangefield's cleanup hitter got to the plate in the bottom of the second.
This is worth throwing your V's up.  Sounds like Vidor was seeing the ball well.
2.
That's what i like to hear!! Up next Brenham.. Look out Cubs, the Bears are coming to town.  :)
I'll be down there at 9, ready to watch baseball all day!  LCM has Lufkin at 2:30, then Brenham for the night cap.  While Brenham has #3 Santa Fe, then the Bears, back to back.  It should be a lot of fun.  I'm ready to get Wednesday out of the way... LCM is undefeated, & really hot.  My Cubs havn't given up a hit in their last 14 innings.  If the rain holds off, the stage is set, for a great tournament.
Really? Since Klein Forrest has had such a strong baseball tradition not all that impressive.  ::)
What I mean is it's impressive when a 3A school beats a 5A school. ::)
Huffman always plays up they beat new caney the last two years as well and they had 25 wins in 4a. Most years Huffman wont play a 3a team until they get to district.
Most of our games our against 5A schools, so I know what you're talking about.  I think it's impressive when a lower classification beats a larger one, especially one thats 2 classifications bigger.

5.
Actually the 2011 PNG team started the season on fire.  For whatever reason they sumped at the first of district and then had to figure it out to get a playoff spot.
Oh ok...  I thought it was before district too.
6. Looks like the 2012 Nederland team, is pretty similar to the 2011 PNG team.  It's a slow start, but like PNG last year, I think they will figure it out.
7. Congrats, on the win!  It's an impressive one.
8.
Blake hicks 3rd homerun, walkoff grandslam
Wow!  Sounds like a clutch performance....
9.
Ross Lightfoot from Silsbee just hit his 3rd against Woodville
:o Seems like he means business!  What BBCORE?
10. I agree LCM & PNG are in the right spots.  IMO, Nederland is one of the top teams in setx, but at 1-4, they shouldn't be ranked as high as they are.  I do see them earning that ranking soon though.
11. Excellent post!
12.
Not to sure on what the district is, but the one with Brenham and all of them has always been a difficult one. IMO, 20-4A is always brutal and a tough out once playoffs come around.
You're taking about 17-4A.  We're not considered SETX, but if we were, I'd say 17-4A hands down.  Last year it was an all 17-4A final. Even the regional semi's was 75% 17-4A.  In SETX, I'd say it's 21-3A, then 20-4A.
13.
1. LCM 2. Nederland 3. Barbers Hill 4. PNG 5. Vidor* (4-A better watch out for SETX this year)
::) SETX better watch out for Brenham... (but you already knew that) Even with all of the new faces, during our rebuilding year, we expect to make it 4 straight regional titles. I have been impressed with LCM, PNG & Barber's Hill though.  I can't wait to get a close up of LCM this weekend.  They will be challenged by some of the state's best teams.
14. Lumberton is 5-0.
15. Powers in the next 2 Brenham tournaments. 3/1-3/3 Brenham/Montgomery Tourney #3 The Woodlands (5A) #3 Santa Fe (4A) #7 Houston Lamar (5A) # 12 Brenham (4A)     3/8-3/10 Brenham Alumni Tourney (Only 3 4A teams & 1 Private school in this tourney.) #6 Klein Oak (5A) #9 A&M Considated (5A) #9 CC Moody (4A) #10 SA Churchill (5A) #11 Houston Westside (5A) #12 Brenham (4A) Lots of other quality teams...  These are just the ranked ones.  Probably 2 of the more competitive tourneys in they state.
16.
Congradulations to the Bears. Wonderful way to start out the season. Going to be a difficult tourney in Brenham.
No, doubt.... Brenham- reigning champs of the region for the last 3 years & currently holds the record for most state titles, with 7. #7 Houston Lamar- a large 5A school, that is #7 in the state.  Lamar has won this tourney for the last 3 years. LCM- Always a threat, and a perrinial power year & year out.  Sounds like the Bears are off to a great start. #3 Santa Fe- they enter the tourney as the #3 team in the state.  They took us to game 3 last year in the 4th round. Lufkin- Don't know much about them, other than they are 5A. If that's not enough, on the other side of the bracket, there is #3 The Woodlands, Montgomery, Texas City, Bryan and Bryan Rudder.  Should be a great tournament!
17. K-Park is setx?  Guess we almost qualify...
18. There will be a lot of talent on display in the "baseball capital of Texas", over the next 2 weekends. This weekend's schedule.... BRENHAM                                            MONTGOMERY Thursday                                              Thursday                9:30 Lamar vs Lufkin                    The Woodlands vs Bryan 12:00 Sante Fe vs Lamar                Bryan vs Texas City   2:30 Lufkin vs LCM                      Rudder vs The Woodlands   5:00 Sante Fe vs Brenham            Texas City vs Montgomery   7:30 LCM vs Brenham                  Rudder vs Montgomery Friday                                                  Friday   9:30 LCM vs Sante Fe                  Texas City vs Rudder 12:00 Santa Fe vs Lufkin                Rudder vs Bryan   2:30 Lamar vs LCM                      The Woodlands vs Texas City   5:00 Lufkin vs Brenham                The Woodlands vs Montgomery   7:30 Lamar vs Brenham                Bryan vs Montgomery Saturday   9:30 5th place from each bracket. 12:00 4th place from each bracket.   2:30 3rd place from each bracket.   5:00 2nd place from each bracket.   7:00 1st place from each bracket.
19. Brenham finished this tourney 4-1, with back to back no-hitters.  Looks like we will have to rely on good pitching this year.  Brenham will bring a 4-2 record in to Fireman's Park on Thursday, when they play #3 Santa Fe, in the Brenham/Montgomery tournament.  These 2 teams met in the 4th round of the playoffs last year, with the Cubs taking 2 out of the 3 games.
20. Another Brenham pitcher (Stephen Joswiak) just pitched a no-hitter this after noon.
21. K, pop out, ground out. Brenham    4 (S. Joswiak no hitter) Round Rock 0 Final *Brenham pitching with back to back no hitters. (Including yesterday's perfect game)
22. C. Joswiak grounds out, Wunderlick grounds out, Lackey singles, Lackey steals 2nd, Baker RBI double, Stegent pops out. (web gem) Brenham    4 Round Rock 0 Mid 7
23. K, line out (web gem by Kubeczka), walk, line out. Brenham    3 Round Rock 0 End 6
24. Webb lines out, Kubeczka pops out, Baird grounds out. Brenham    3 Round Rock 0 Mid 6
