That texasfootballratings info is some pretty cool stuff.
Which just goes to show you that Brenham is over rated... And the others get WAY more exposure than Dayton ever has...
On the flip side, Brenham only has 13 losses vs. 17 for Dayton, so the Brenham winning percentage is higher.
You can't base them having a higher winning percentage... Dayton has played 70 games to Brenhams 63.. which obviously puts Dayton in higher loss category than Brenham. So assume Brenham played 70 games like Dayton and assume Brenham  lost those extra 7 games. That would put them at 20 loses to Dayton 17 loses.Or assume Brenham won the extra 7 games Brenham would only have 4 more wins than Dayton  Or assume Brenham lost 4 and won 3, then they would be even. Or assume Brenham won 4 and lost 3, then they would only have 1 win over Dayton.  bottom line unless you have the same games played numbers, you can't do a percentage... I don't think. Wheres Mr. Toups.. He the math Genius.
Well for the last 2 years, we have only lost 1 game a year.  At that rate it would take 3 years to get the same amount of losses Dayton has. (assuming y'all went 16-0 every year for the next 3 years....  We all know that wouldn't happen either though) You call us overrated, but if you look at the #'s were every bit what Dayton is....
I'm not saying yall are less than Dayton.. And you just made my point with your last statement. Yall always seem to rank WAY above Dayton EVERY YEAR.. But yet we are every bit what Brenham is.. And the Numbers that are being talked about are for the last 5 years.. not 3 years into the future. Eazy was trying to put a percentage on the 2 teams.. which you can't do when the games played are different.
Touché.  I'm not the one who does the rankings.  To be fair to the pollsters though.... They don't rank Dayton to start the season and Dayton loses early. (at least the last year or 2)
They should be ranked how they finish not how they start :-\
They do it on what teams return. (part of it anyways)

Dishon had a single, BH went hitless.
Admin..... How does Long compare to Ross Hales (before the coach threw his arm out for scout pleasure)? I am going to watch them this year, but have not seen Long throw.
Smoking baby....both 6"4, both 90. Big difference was that Hales was lefty. Seems like yesterday when we both witness that last bevy of scouts. You will be impressed with Long and the whole BH team.
Thanks.  Yes, no doubt about the scouts.  I can recall a few games where there were more scouts than opposing fans.  All I hope is we play Montgomery again for a chance to pay-back that loss.  That game was sickening, wind blowing in 30 mph and at least 5 or 6 balls died at the fence.  Different weather BH wins that game by a lot.  Both very good teams that year.
Careful what you wish for.  Montgomery was good last year, and i'm assuming they will be even better this year, cuz they return a lot.
 6. Brenham 72 Magnolia 65 Final It was like a home game!
 7. Brenham 72 Magnolia 63 29 secs left
 8. Really physical game....  During a Magnolia time out, the student body started chanting, "just like football"!
 9. Brenham 53 Magnolia 43 After 3
 10. Brenham 31 Magnolia 33 Half
 11. Brenham 12 Magnolia 16 End 1
 12. If anybody wants to listen to the game, it will be on KWHI.com
 13. Winner will play Huntsville, while the loser will get Summer Creek.
 14. PNG will likely use Nelson as one of their pitchers.  I'm not sure who else they will have though.
 15. No warm up game for us.  Brenham     VS Magnolia For 17-4A's #1 seed.  Winner gets Huntsville, while the loser will play Summer Creek.
 16. VP32 could probably give you some info.
 17. There's always Erich Weiss.  He had a good year last year, and i'm sure that he will pick up where he left off.
Come out West to Barbers Hill and you can see some more.  ;)
LCM is about to come out even further West, and get their annual fix.  ;)
 19.
That pre-district schedule sucks!  LCM and Lumberton......REALLY?  What the heck does that do for you?  Geeze!!!!!! Why not just play Central?  Let's really play a bad team if that's all we can get.  :o :o
Haha....  The smoking infant strikes again!
 20. Lack of offense in the Brenham/Bryan scrimmage.  When I left after the 4th inning it was 1-0, Bryan.  Brenham's 2 hits were both doubles, while Bryan had a pair of singles and a double.  Both teams looked rusty, but I guess that should have been expected.
 21.
Not if a team is loaded with hitters who are hitting that good pitching..... You can't win a game 0-0.  Someone has to score.  If the pitchers are that good, someone has to hit, right?  No BB, no HBP which marks good pitching.
Even good pitchers walk batters or hang a curve ball over the plate every now and then.
Looking at some of the comments after the video....  VP32, you call me a Vidor hater....  Gee, what are they?  Makes me look like the pope.
Well i don't know then and haven't met them Brenhamfan. No offense man but i gave your team respect where its due and, IMO, you haven't really returned the gesture.
Y'all had a good run last year, and beat several teams I didn't expect y'all too.  I don't know how you can say I don't respect your team, when I went to the game, I even sat on the Vidor side.
 23.
Hitters hit.  Plain and simple. This will bring the game back to things like bunting, being patient at the plate and the hitters coming up with Big hits.  Definetly, tipped the game back to the pitcher.  Lots of pitcher's duals ahead of us.
It's 3-1 Ned in the 5th or 6th.  A lot of walks maybe 3 hits combined.  These bats make a HUGE difference.
Are they having to use a different kind of bats or something?
Yes, they have to use BBCOR bats this year which are supposed to mimic wood bats.  They used them in college last year and the offensive numbers dropped dramatically.  Look for lots of small ball this year and not many homeruns.
That ain't no joke.  I went to our scrimmage against Bryan today, and their was maybe 5 hits between the schools.  I only stayed for 4 innings and it was 1-0 Bryan when I left.  Both of our hits were doubles, while Bryan had 2 singles and a double.  You could see rust on both teams, but I guess that was to be expected. Sounds like both BC & Nederland are going to be good, as usual.  I Hope to catch a Nederland playoff game this year.

I always thought good pitching trumped good hitting to start with.
