9.

:o Spring Woods is the surprise team here.... They are 2-0, with 2 shut outs...
The will need to score more than 1.5 runs a game to make the playoffs though.  Who are your 4 playoff teams?  Brenham, Magnolia, Montgomery, and ??
They are relying on their ace.  We play them tomorrow, and I think he just pitched last night.  If so, they might be in trouble.  At the beginning of the year, my picks were Montgomery, Brenham, Magnolia & Stratford.  Spring Woods got a huge win over a good Magnolia team, which could shake things up.  Magnolia West is also a very talented team and will fight for the #4 spot.

 17. I threw a few throw lines out this weekend, since the weather ruined the baseball tournament. The Brazos is full of drop offs and with all of the rain, the river was rather high.  I fished between Brenham and Navasota, and between the thick mud all over the banks, and the water being higher than usual, it was a little more difficult.  On 2 different days, I threw 3 lines out with 4 hooks on each, using large gold fish for bait.  On the first day I caught a nice 32lb flathead and a about a 2' gar.  On day 2, I caught a large turtle and a small flathead (maybe 2 or 3lbs), but it had been partially eaten. (probably by turtles or gar) I'll  try again in a week or two.

 19.
I'm really proud for Lamar, this year, but I'm sorry, if you win your conference, you should be automatically in the Tournament. What is this "play in" BS? Lamar has 23 wins! The last time they made the tournament, they got in with a 15-15 record! This is totally disrespectful to Lamar, IMO! The NCAA selection committee is a joke, plain and simple......and I hope Lamar crushes Vermont!
There are 112 teams 20+ wins.  It's just how things are.  Some teams had 25 wins or more and didn't get in.
 20.
What a slap in the face to Lamar.
There's a lot of teams that didn't get in, that would be thrilled to switch spots with them. Go Duke!
