Brenham 38 PA Lincoln 30
i was at that game, you know good and well Lincoln should have won that game. 2 dropped WIDE OPEN TD passes cost the Bees. Cubs were clearly out-matched speed wise. Calvin Roberts had his best game as far as passing the rock, i think he had like 350 yds passing that game. Yall had that big-bruiser of a RB running the peel, wonder where yall recruited him from.  :D Yall secondary was getting torched all night long but Lincoln kept dropping the rock. I was looking forward to a Lincoln vs. Jasper match-up that year.
Lol.  Good times...  I was a junior that year, and have to give it up to the PA speed.  I was burned a couple of times myself, but it was like we were in their heads.  Time after time, incompletion after incompletion...  When it was all said and done, you saw who came away with the win! ;D We had a pretty good WR (Limas Sweed), but PA was no slouch.  The next year we played in the state championship game, so there was some talent on that team.
 2. Scooter, if I remember correctly we eliminated PA in 2001. Brenham 38 PA Lincoln 30
 3. If I remember correctly, were winless against Nederland, so they can't be that bad!
 4.
Dayton doesn't have a rival because of its poor competitivness in all sports combined. Once they learn how to develope the other sports they may have a rival ,but when you beat someone in fooball every year then lose at all other competitions it's hard to develope a rival ship ;D PNG and NED are competitive at most sports and take turns at beating each other in all competitions thus the Rival IMO ;D Stir Stir Stir :o
You mean Dayton plays other sports? ;) ;D Stirring a little more...

PNG- It's always fun to play the Indians.  They are usually a pretty good team, and it's always a great atmosphere.  Maybe @ Reliant again, like it was in 05'. 2. La Marque- The name pretty much speaks for it's self.  Always a very athletic team, that is respected for their success.  Think region 3 final in 05'...  One of the best games I've seen.  Were 2-1 all time vs La Marque.  (Lost in 93', Won in 02' & 05') 3. PA Memorial- To shut Scooter up!  :D
We would beat the Cubs and get free ice cream for a year  :D
I think it was PNG who had a similar idea in the playoffs 2 years ago... "When we beat Brenham, they should name an ice cream flavor after us" We saw how that turned out... The only names for a flavor I could come up with after the game were, "Last of the Mohiccans" (commemorating the ending of the Indian's season) or "Purple Rain" (after the tears that were being shed while the purple faithful left with the last few ticks on the board, to the Brenham crowd chanting, "Na na na na... na na na na...  Hey hey hey, Goodbye!") (Sorry Indian faithful, I couldn't resist...  Just a little preseason humor) ;) :D ;D We'll show you 5A boys how to play football! ;D
like Kingwood Park showed yall how to win a playoff game last year?  ;D
Something like that.  Maybe we can apply what we learned last year, this season.

 8.
Cole is a heck of a player, but that 5.0 forty time he clocked isn't looking so great.
I could be wrong, but I thought I saw somewhere that he ran a 4.6 or 4.7.  @ daytonfan: Thanks.  Dayton always has a good team, so I'm sure we'll meet up soon!
 9. Our offense is going to A&M, but you're right about our defense.  Smart move by Mack Brown... Looks good for any future recruit from Brenham that the Horns go after... :-\
 10.
Trying real hard to get BH-89 to chime in and then it'll go crazy wild :D
I think a $54 fishing trip is in order to celebrate!  Don't you agree Bobby?
 11. Scout.com reports that Brenham High School linebacker Tim Cole is in Oregon this week participating in The Opening, a football training camp sponsored by Nike that is hosting some of the nation’s premier football recruits. Cole, who will be a senior this coming fall, has verbally committed to the University of Texas.
 12. ;D The Brenham Cub football team has been contacted about possibly playing its second game of the season on the upstart Longhorn Network, Brenham High School football coach Glen West said Thursday. Brenham, which was ranked seventh in Texas Class 4A in Dave Campbell’s Texas Football preseason rankings, will open its season Aug. 26 against Huntsville at Cub Stadium, and is scheduled to play Sept. 3 at Lamar Consolidated. But if the game is televised by the Longhorn Network, the game would likely be moved up two days to Thursday. West said Brenham would be interested in playing a Thursday game.

(gotta scout a little)  Y'all shouldn't have as much trouble this year.  No Diggs.
What college did he end up going to (Diggs)?
Some lousy university about a hour and half west of Brenham.  They couldn't even scrounge up a .500 season. Lol ;) :D

Mr. Brenham fan I wouldn't worry about 17 4a as much as hooking up with the Bronco's in the early playoff rounds .This years Bronco's might be the most "Dangerous" team since 2008 ! You know what they say " On any given Day "   ~~~~~~~~~       I can't wait till kick off !       ~~~~~~~  PS " No Green Shoes "
Lol.  Come on now!  Everybody loves the green shoes. ;D
I'd take this seriously if not that 2009 and 2010 team were suppose to be that to. Dunno gl to the broncos but we will wait and see.
2009 Bronco's with a sophomore QB lost a nail-biter to runner up State Champion Brenham .  2011 Bronco's QB is now a Senior coupled with a core of  College bound recievers and running backs plus one of the best kickers in TX will make this year a fun one !
In 2009 we had the same youth that y'all did.  Our best player, Malcolm Brown, was a sophomore.  Tim Cole, and Troy Green was also sophomores.  As a matter of fact, Brenham's state finalist team started 5 sophomores in 2009.  In other words, Brenham vs Dayton should be a great game this year.  That is, unless the Hill finishes ahead of Dayton!    ;) :D
 18. 4A- The best teams in 4A, (Lake Travis, Aledo, Denton Ryan, Cedar Park, etc.) IMO, can beat the best 5A teams.  Take Cibolo Steele for example...  Two years ago in 4A, they were bounced in the 2nd round.  Last year was their first year in 5A, and they won the state championship.
 19.
Not at all.You gotta win 1 now and then or it is not a rivalry ;D
I agree...  Perfect example: The loss we suffered to Waller 2 years ago to keep the rivalry alive. ;) :D
 20.
Well, like I said. This was right out of one of their coaches mouth. His HISD 3A comment was more of a "hopefull" comment than anything. He was pretty sure of being in a district that minimum travel was 1.5 hours. Im not sure what district that would be. Im sure some of yall Western Houston saavy people could help. And it doesnt matter who gets to the Region Finals, id bet that whomever it would be would be facing the Coogs. Where is the Reg3/4 cutoff? Would they be Reg. 4 if they go to that south western H-town district that someone said earlier?
In 4A, west of Brenham is region 4.  Brenham and everything east of Brenham is region 3. (I think) In 3A, the schools around Brenham (Navasota, Caldwell, Stafford, Bellville, Sealy, Columbus, La Grange, Giddings, Brookshire) are region 4.
 21.
yes i am fairly new to this site, brenham fan grabbed from another site...and yes i like that it covers a lot of sports.......and brenham, college park visiting icecream land in vb, should be a good match to see, and its before fb starts..ill keep my eye on that one
No doubt...  17-4A is a beast in vb!
The two most important things about the turf. 1.) It will not be Purple 2.) There will not be a gay Indian hoping around on it
3. It will not make your team any faster ;D 4. The dads at BH can't run through the blow up wishing they were still in high school playing football. 5. It won't help the coach bashing that goes on every year at BH and finally #6, It won't make the the Hill is for real. :D
You forgot #7.  With the turf, the Broncos can put up 54 points in three quarters instead of four.
Lets not get crazy! It took you all 4 quarters on turf, two paid refs, a band that play the anthem too soon, 5 recruited players and a whole lot of cheaten to put up 54 last year ;D Plus we were blinded by all of those over weight grown men wearing tight purple shirts ;D ;D
And partridge in a pear tree...  Lol :D
 23.
Good food, good company (Mike), and good sports talk...  What more can you ask for?
A shorter drive... ;) ;D
 24. No problem.  I have tried to get others around the Houston area to visit the site, and it seems I have been somewhat successful.  There's been a few from 17-4A. (Brenham, Montgomery, Waller & Stratford) (Grasshopper is fairly new to the sight and is a Stratford guy.) Thanks for the consideration, and for all the work you put into this site to make it what it is.  You do a great job covering all of the sports!
