I’m hopeful that we will continue to grow, attract more boys who get kicked out of Golden Corral, and, who knows, maybe get a district alignment that does not include four regional finalists from the past three years.

Unfortunately, no one cares who the best 5-6 loss team in the State is.

Simple prediction: Crosby gets the monkey off its back and beats Dayton, which could be one of only a couple wins this season.

Yeah, that 2016 bond was clearly important. Crosby is now facing many of the same issues. The old Crosby High School, which now serves as the middle school, has likely exceeded the district’s repair-cost formula. The three-to-four-year SEC audit also prevented Crosby from continuing its needed projects because the district was unable to spend the 2018 bond funds for nearly four years. The board will vote on a new bond package this month. Given the need for an additional middle school and elementary schools, along with the recent construction of a high school designed for future expansion, I doubt we will see any athletics-related bonds within the next two or three years.

We play Dayton in 17 days. Right now, Dayton is the only team that matters. Once we play Dayton, we turn our attention to the Hill. That is how everyone on this team needs to approach the season: one game at a time. Do not get overwhelmed by the challenges ahead. Everything is manageable when you focus on the opponent in front of you and play your best each week. King went 1–9 in 2016, and that season helped lay the foundation for its rise to prominence. We are measuring this season by our competitiveness, growth, and willingness to fight every week. If we do those things, who knows? We might earn some wins and surprise some people along the way. But none of that matters today. Dayton. Seventeen days.

No Question if you are able to win three games in this district thats a huge huge huge success. 2 is accomplisment, and honestly even going 0 for is not the end of the world but gosh it's gonna be tough. I think we have to look at CE King and say okay we can make that transition like they did took a few years.

I do hope we keep Dayton just for the old times sake.

For those of us unsure the mascots of either team who's winning?

You just took 3 tries to get 2.5 yards.

It would have still objectively been a bad call and it's a bad call because you took the certain points off the board. Not sure where you come from but where i come from we were always taught a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. If he had originally decided to go for 2 to win it (Like Friendswood did) and lost then that fine, but when you have a tie game you cannot untie the game to try and go for two everything about the decision was nonsense, if he had succeeded we would of course be happy with a second round game, but it would have still been the objectively incorrect decision. I asked a buddy who does some stats work for Northwestern what the data says and his exact words were nothing is more statistically valuable then guaranteed points. So under no old coach model (traditional) or stats model (modern) is this the correct call to make. Also, grandpa knew better and he never coached a day in his life but had more life experience than any of these coaches dreamed of having.

Three losing seasons, 2 back to back first round exits, non-competitive with the top of the district. This is not Crosby football it feels like I'm watching PAM from 6-7 years ago? All that talent being wasted.

If we are any better than we were last year and I think offensively we are because we aren't so one dimensional then we have a shot, what worries me is the 7 point 2nd half versus La Porte.

Glad we took care of business and didn't look ahead to next week. looking like we will be playing for 2nd in the district right now .

Nah Berneathy and that staff are the real threats our adjustment tend to be minor to non-existent.
