See those schemes are designed for less talented squads. its you need 4 athletes and you can run that offense, only one needs to be real smart. =P P.s. Daytons defense is gimmicky. =P coming from a cougar whos team plays a very similar defense. (i think yall play man to man and we play zone prolly only difference)

Good for the Cougs got the Monkey off the back. 39-27 isn't a bad score. Crosby scored 27 unanswered points? not bad maybe they can get some confidence from this game as we move forward. Dayton keep the talk to a min you beat BH lets not forget.

Brenham Shut out 35-0

BH needs to play a mistake free ball game and get some help from the Broncos to win this game. i think they can do that. 20-14 BH Eagles because of multiple fumbles by the Broncos (including couple in the red zones).

interesting Article i smell a wrinkle coming. =P. Flannigan likes to change things up last pre-district game, broncos game, and first game of playoffs. The defense was notably better. if the cougs can play defense like they did in the first half against Montgomery or PNG or second half against Dawson and put that together this could end in a shut out. I could see the cougs getting up by 14-21 and just sitting on the football for the rest of the game. They definitely have that capability.

Youll notice Zane tends to lean to the strong side and the others are in coverage a lot. Works well against Screen offenses and shotgun runs but not so well against Power I attacks (Dawson, Montgomery) or Very good QB's whom can throw middle yardage plays well. Its designed to Jump short passing routes and control the sidelines.

West i disagree i think that that squad is so riddled with d1 talent no one can stand out. I had a buddy who's brother went to Katy and decided to go live with his DAD in Mississippi and ended up with a D1 scholarship to Mississippi State but wouldn't have started on Katy's Defense.

So it was 45-7 when the katy starters came out? Hum... Sounds like the Brook got Lucky that the coaches felt their 3-4 days of practice where enough before the game. Thats a butt whooping any way you slice it. Now when people use words like lucky... i laugh. in the end Katy will be playing for a State Title and Brook will be at home, simply Katy doesn't need luck. Also i remember a smart man saying Luck is when hard work and Opportunity meet.

BH game plan should be to run the football and wait for Dayton Turnovers.

1 reason this game will be close is the "home field advantage" i.e. Refs from Beaumont, Katy will be going wtf? when everytime they break a play for 45 or more a magical flag flies in the air. But regardless Katy will win because they can consitently run the football and they will hit a couple deep patterns.
