  1. i warned my son about how good ozen was at stripping the ball from watching them play last year. looks like he listened but he must not of reminded his teamates....

I would assume that it is Mr. Peevey that is your son? Mr. Peevey did a great job. Needs to keep eyes to the outside... He is as fast as a cat... needs to not turn back into the flow make them run him down. I was impressed, he got hit hard on a few of them and popped up like a champagne cork....

  2. Let's here it PI-RATS . . . . . . . . . . . . . Excuses that is. Ya'll been talking smack all week let's here it. We all want to hear about it. Come on now i know ya'll got some stupid excuse.

You won't here any whining from me. We put ourselves in a hole and Ozen outplayed us on several occasions. We did do better in the 2nd half ( AGAIN ) but not good enough this time. Congrats to Ozen, and nice rebound Lumberton. We have to get our motor running earlier in the game, and stop dropping the football. You can not fumble 5 times and expect to beat anyone!

  3. Not to say I told you so but.....It was too early to start talking playoffs after only two weeks...I believe it was Central (for sure), Nederland, Vidor, PN-G....And those over-rated Raiders were just a farce....

    Raiders 34 Jags 20

    Lions 34 Indians 14

    Panthers 21 Pirates 14

    Nederland 49 LC-M 0 ( I think)

What do we do now? I'm not going to start talking smack and saying the Raiders are the team to beat...I actually think there's a lot of parity in 20-4A and feel that there will be several more "strange" Friday nights before it's all over...But, I will say Congrats Raiders! Keep it up...

Oh...BmtSoulja1...Send me that shirt size would you...I need to get that Raider shirt to you for next Friday...ok, I'll shut up now...Ozen may whip our butts next week and I really don't want to eat crow...Raiders 33 Ozen 14 (early prediction).

We took it on the chin that is for sure. Again 2nd half was good. But this time wasn't enough. Congrats on the win against PNG. I will not make excuses. They took it from us, and we gave it to them... but mostly they took it from us. Good Job Ozen.

  4. I see heads swelling as well  ::).  There's a lot of "what if's" that could come into play tonite :-[.

    Sure is...just imagine...

"What if" Nederland wins by 20

"What if" Nederland wins by 30

"What if" Nederland plays their starters through the second quarter...

And don't forget the all important one....

What if Big Ned comes out flat and doesn't play well and LC-M pulls of a win?? They may be overmatched.... They may be over coached... But the biggest word in the english language is "IF" .... and when they take the field they will have a chance... maybe a small one but still a chance... Come around the end of the 1st Qtr you should be able to know how the game will go....

  5. Central wins.  Lumberton has started this year off as they did last year... with a bunch of easy wins.  Unfortunately, the one solid team they've played beat them, and the one good team they scrimmaged embarrassed them.  don't let lumberton's 3-1 record fool you... this is a much different team from the one they fielded last year.  Central takes this one, and more comfortably than most people think.

just because alot of our good players graduated. we will still do great. we got alot of new players. we have a great coach that loves the game. sorry your jealous were finally starting to beat good teams. dont under estimate the L-train. we might be little and white. but we sure do turn some heads.

Sorry to say it but you'll  havent shown the ability to beat a good team so far this year.

ok lets just see how this game ends.

    than come talk

Believe me win or lose I'll be on here tonight or tomorow. Which is more than can be said for most of you'll.

    yeah were sad we lost.

    who wouldnt be?

    we said vidor won.

    we had good sportsmanship

but now were getting pissed cause yall wont shut yalls mouth.

we play with pride all the time.

just be prepared l-train is coming back on the tracks

Kinda tough when you get some of your own medicine. You will here about this win until next year if you dont like it leave like the rest of the L-Town posters did.

i aint leaving i stick behind my raiders.

i know we bragged when we went to playoffs.

    but come on.

its been a long time since weve been to play offs.

we were just a little excited.

    sorry for the past.

but this is a new year and a new team.

nobody can predict who wins or whos good yet. its a little to early.

    best of luck vidor.

yall did to great in the secound half. ( but we did great in the first)

And it was 41 years in the making. It was a great accomplishment for The Raiders. Good luck with Central it will be 1 heck of a game tonight. Hopefully we can take the fight to Ozen tonight and keep up the momentum. Here is a link to Lumberton High History by WOS87

  6. That #49 the MLB is a monster for Lumberton and they never back down!  This will be a great contest and we are all excited to see 20-4A rolling again! :)

Better watch the LB from Central #44 he is a wildman and he times the snap almost perfect... and his transmission is in high gear all night. I will say this... When #24 and #44 have a head on there will be sparks flying... both young men play hard and with their hearts. The same can be said on the other side as well with #9 and #49. I have had the pleasure of watching all 4 of these young men play against my Pirates and they have heart and desire.

    #44 Jacoby Hale - LB  -  6' 190 lbs  Sr

    #24 Justin Labove - DB - 5'7" 155 lbs Sr

    #9 Charles Thomas - S/RB - 6'2" 195 lbs Sr  3 year lettermen.  Verbal commit to Texas A&M

You must mean #19 David Mayfield.  We don't have a #49.

    LB 5'10" - 200 lbs Sr.  3 Year Lettermen

Actually I was talking about RB vs LB

Centrals #9 Mr Thomas Vs #49 Lumberton LB

    and

Lumbertons #24 Mr. Hanna Vs Central #44 Mr. Hale.

Both of these LB's and RB's play hard going to be some interesting games tonight.

  8. Ok this may sound stupid but when I was a kid, (many years ago) we always played cowboys and indians or combat, heck if we didn't have toy guns we had sticks.  Man some of those sticks could really lay down some fire power :o

The thumb and forefinger worked quite well also!!!!  You could even blow smoke from the forefinger!!!!!

And best thing was it was with you all the time.... never needed reloading.... and was spot on bulls eye with every shot!

  9. Offense
