Playing the best (6A #6 West Lake) to a 9 point game will help to being the best...Keep grinding Panthers...Playing all 6A opponents @ CY Hoops...

That's the goal every year and thus far its a work in progress...Playing a non cupcake schedule and mostly 5A/6A teams/tournaments to get battle tested and mental toughness. Some play a bunch of 3A-4A teams/tournaments to boost their win- loss record in order to be mentioned in the same conversation of success. Come district play moral victories means almost as much as a win to some...Maybe one day the UIL will introduce the sport of Horse Shoes when "Almost" can be considered some sort of a win...22-5A District race will be a heated battle as usual with some very close games...The so called top teams must play their A game every-time or stuff can and will happen...

This is not an uncommon occurrence although sometimes it's more blatant than others by the host team..Nederland and Gamble tournaments are included...The sideline coaches/home team fans always state just play the team in front of you or find another tournament to go to... Some have...jmo
