Ugly game to watch for a while.... kinda hard to keep the same intensity when you get up by alot early.... Question for Silsbee folks.... why does Silsbee use the UIL chapter, when the rest of the district uses the TASO chapter..... It almost seems like a different set of rules is being used at times....  *Not a knock on officials, but an observation on the differences of the 2 chapters..

If you have followed this district for the past few years, this score should not be that much of a shock....  Congrats Buna on the win..

hffan5- I don't know what coach jacks or whoever said... I was with the girls in the locker room... at no point did an Hj player mess with any signs.... we went in... sat down... talked and left...  before , at half and after game.... For you to come on this board and say that is [b]insulting[/b]!  Our program has alot more class than to do something like that. 

Good job by the lady Hawk defense tonight... Kesha Broussard and Robbie Saunders both with 20+ tonight.

lumberton is playing westbrook this thursday at 9:00 am in the ymbl tournament according to the ymbl bracket???? anyone know which one they are actually in?

we played them in college a while back.....  they left one under the basket to rebound.../inbound the ball.... two at half court to outlet on o and trap on d... and two on the offensive end....  if they got an offensive rebound, they kicked it out for a 3... they would give up a layupto get the ball back.... they also subbed a fresh 5 every minute..... we won 150 something to 130 something...... pretty fun game to play in I might add...

Due to a band competition scheduled in advance, Ozen B and Cleveland will play at 10:30, HJ JV vs Caney Creek Varsity for Consolation at 12.... St. Pius vs Anahuac for 3rd at 1:30 and HJ vs Ozen for the championship at 3. Alot of talk about the game time for HJ vs Ozen being moved.  THis can't happen due to the fact that all games being played tomorrow will be at the JR high (old high school gym)  and there is only 1 gym available. Ozen beat St. Pius 90-9 in the semi-final game tonight.  St. Pius and Ozen both with players that have signed with Lamar.

Hj has lost key starters every year.... the guards they have coming back may be the best group they have had in a good while.. While the race is always open each year,  39-1 in the past 4 years and 30-0 in the last 3 years speaks for itself about replacing key starters. Don't think volleyball run will affect basketball..
