If Nederland scores less than 50 I will be shocked!!!
-
If I'm not mistaken, Mosley got hurt in the Vidor game and only played a couple (if not just one) series in the Central game. Had he of been heathly, he would have had more against yards central.
-
I think Grogan is good and will only get better, but there is no comparing him to Mosley at this point. Mosley did it all. You could give the ball to him 35 times a game and you could still expect him to play some on the defensive side of the ball. He was a great pass cather as well and could play any position on the field!!!
PS: I bet I know who PATitan thinks is better!!!

How about Nederland getting votes in this Poll. That surprises me!!

Thanks!

When is the video of the Ned/PNG game going to be on this site???
-
PNGGRAD1985 is one who escaped the brainwashing of the Indian Nation. Just because he choose to move to a different town and support a different team does not make him a bad guy. I know it's hard for some PNG folks to imagine living beyond their HS years, but let it go.

Gotta remember, you are looking at an unexperienced running back at the varsity level. His skill is raw and he is pure brute force with pretty good speed mixed in. Right now he is a very good blocking back with above average size and speed. He is hitting the holes pretty hard and making much better decisions than he did a few weeks ago. As he gains experience he is just going to get better and better. It so good to see the Nederland staff finally pick the right running back. We have been floundering in what I thought were crummy running back selections for several years, ending up with your best backs playing defense. Granted it looks like we have a pretty good line to block for Grogan, but this guy can bring the groceries.
Michael, I'm not sure what you are talking when you say "SEVERAL YEARS"??? Last year we had problems at RB. But the THREE years before that we had Mosley running the ball and we ALL know what he did!!!

Ozen will be able to run at will. Cardenas and Bellows will do their thing, but will need a running game in this one. That's not going to happen. Ozen 21-13.
Soulja, I kinda disagree with you disagreeing with #8. You said that Nederland would need a running game to beat Ozen and you did not think it was going to happen. Apparently you thought Ozen's Defense was good enough to stop Nederland's running game. Now you are saying that Grogan has not proved anything. He did prove something. He proved you wrong!!!

When did Nederland stay away from the spread?
-
Lets not forget Nederland has not played a game in a month and a hurricane has forced them to put football off even longer. this makes for a dangerous recipe for there passing attack that they allow heavy on. James White and transfer Terrell Durham will run up and down the field on Nederlands run defense. Don't forget about the 5 returning offensive lineman and 6'6 wideout Willie Jefferson and 6'3 WR Anthony Lee who runs 21.2 200 meter. Pound for Pound Ozen will dominate Nederland offensively and control the clock and the ball.

Who are the St. Lewis Rams?

This game will not even be close. Nederland BIG!!!

Man Nederland's non-district schedule is a lot tougher than I originally thought.
WOS- great team as always
Waller- beat up on LaMarque last week
Friendswood- spanked Dayton!!!
I hope we will be 2-1 once district starts, but we might be 0-3 unless the D can turn things around.

A few years ago Texas had two brothers in the secondary. I assume they went to the same high school.

This really surprises me!!

Would Chiasson be a jr. in 2010 and a sr. in 2011???
-
What's wrong with the baseball field? Didn't it get MAJOR upgrades after Rita (new press box, new stands with a very nice "roof", new brick backstop, new fence, new batting cages). Now, would I support even more upgrades to the field itself, sure I would. I would even be in favor of giving the coach a raise!

From what I'm hearing Nederland's starting RB (Krautz) will not play in this Scrimmage due to a knee injury during the Jasper/Kelly scrimmage. I heard he will be out one week.

QBs for Nederland: Bellow and Forney
-
I wonder if some of you were really at the Ned/Kelly/Silsbee scrimmage. They really didn't do a first team/second team scrimmage. They just rotated some 2nd team guys mixed in with 1st team.
Nederland: Both Krautz and Grogan looked good. Krautz got injured ( I believe he hyper-extended his right knee). Brady cought a long TD pass. I was pleased with the O-line, some nice big holes and pass protected well. the D looked good only giving up a couple of gains of more than 10 yrds.
Kelly: I was surpried by how good their skill players were!!
Silsbee: Isn't their QB supossed to be highly recruited??? WOW. I was not impressed at all!!

For Ozen it will be one to forget!!!

Raider81, school districts hiring their "own" happens all over the place. It's not unique to Lumberton.
SEEDING OF 4 PLAYOFF TEAMS?
in SETXsports Archived Threads

I believe the top four enrollment wise are:
1. Central
2. Nederland
3. PND
4. Vidor
The crazy thing is that I believe these will be the four playoff reps from 20-4A and probably in this order.
