Isn't it amazing how that works? Honestly, I don't even think they realize how bad they act.

I kept trying to tell them last week that we WEREN'T CLEAR LAKE. But they were already planning their victory party, kind of like the Bulldogs did a few years ago.

Then last night one of them made the smug comment that they have more season ticket holders than we have seats on our visitors side...

Looks like a few season ticket holders opted out...

Thread is comical. Toughest 5A district is the one with Lufkin, Ennis and all those guys, its not even close, there is no New Caney ISD type squads in that district.

I think there a comment made by one of his buddies and call them thugs. Neil didn't say it himself, but you can see what he implied. There was non of his friends or Neil himself that corrected or call out that jackass for calling those kids thugs.

And Mouse, I understand completely what you're saying about respecting adults.... But Jacquet wasn't talking directly to Neil or any adult. He went to Twitter and was conversing with his peers. He didn't like it and he was telling his friends.

I thought the Central players were wrong in not shaking the hands. But Mike Neil has no business making his comments neither. Just inciting the situation.

IMO, if the Central players wanted to be "all tough and intimidating" during the captain hand shake, then those players should look their opponents in the eyes, shake their hand and state, "We are going to beat you". Not looking at the ground with hands behind your back looking meek.

I agree, probably much a do about nothing. But a simple hand shake would have nipped this all in the bud and BE and I would have had to post about something else. ;) :D

Being that my son is the only Westbrook player shown with his hand out to shake hands with the Central player's I feel that it is my duty to say something!

    1. This game has been played for many of years between the two schools and then three I think and it has always been a lot of chatter and intimidation antics before the game.

    2. Every child is not a thug and every act of defiance is not thuggish! Take Michael Phelps weed problems for example!

    3. PJ and my son are very good friends and talk all the time and played 7 on 7 several times this summer! Most of these kids have grown up together and have played on the same team at some point in their young lives.

I know some Ozen fans would rather them run the Spread but it was refreshing not to see bobbled snaps and snaps on the ground like in the last 8 years of Panther football.  Oline will be a focal point in the coming weeks unless Coach Suggs has gotten soft.....

Heres deal with Kadon, hes got so much time to grow and has the biggest luxury of having two DI starting rbs to take any pressure off him in early part of season. PAM will have him ready through the year. The Titans play North Shore last, a huge advantage to Memorial. North Shore will make Kadon beat them but by then its possible his game will look much different than it does now.
Memorial was just on another level last night in all phases. One thing id like to suggest to coaches in this area, if its a lopsided blowout please consider running clock in 4th. Yes that is when backups get some time on field but i know me and few others worried about injuries last night. Theres nothing to really gain out of it besides a player being hurt. Imagine if an Ozen defender rolled up a PAM players knee and hes done for season. Nobody wants that. Run the clock and get it in the books.

#1 we are talking about PRESEASON. district is something different. i'll bring up neaumanns record..he owned PA...until 2002 when BETTER COACHING was on the rise with better players, so what's your point?? we have something to prove to the dumb parents who THINK mc schools are better in all aspects. it makes better since to play local teams in the preseason and i'm sure the revenue would benefit ALL schools, so no hole in the soul here. losing talent??? ROFLMAO!!! REALLY?? well if that makes you sleep better, but since PAM opened, do you want me to name how many players in the pros or played pro?? how many BIG D-1 prospects came from PAM and is currently playing?? yeah i think not...the "talent" PAM loss...hmmm...i know of one end that went to texas and played mop up duty and was never heard from again...so if you call that "talent" that transfer over from PA to MC, more power to ya...oh, it was a nederland poster that started the thread lol

ALL RIGHT!!!  first off, nobody from mid county could truly answer these questions since PAM came into play in 2002. hell, even wo-s was scrimmaging PAM when jamaal was there. all you posters/fans point the finger at "it's the coach". then you turn around and use the excuse, we play teams we MIGHT see in the post season. really?? smh...atleast bmt has the FORTATUDE to play PAM. as ghost said, those players were 3rd and 4th and because they "look" a certain way, they start in MC and it is suggested they play a certain way, lol you can have them lol. hmmm...all the PA kids that played in mid county, where are they football wise today?? yeah, i'll stay away from that and let you think about it.

why we don't play Katy??? look at the district katy plays in. they don't have a lot of preseason games. my my, we forget how PAM struggled to find anyone within 100 miles to play them a few years ago. glad to see houson lamar back as they was the closest team that would play PAM back then. sucks when you have to get midland lee to play you, teams from the valley, teams north of houston like the woodlands, going to tyler, san antonio,...yet right in our own back yard...nothing...nederalnd had no qualms of playing brook and beating the breaks off them...until stump came and that got shut down quick. PN-G was scrimmaging but stopped, i guess the result was ugly...oh sorry SCRIMMAGES DON'T COUNT OR MATTER...

funny, last time nederland faced PA they got SMOKED so did PN-G and never seen them since. that was the year before PAM and i guess you knew port arthur turned the corner and didn't want NO parts of PAM. hey i understand,(i mean no disrespect to WO-S) if  asmall school like wo-s that suit up maybe 30 on varsity is mowing ya'll down, imagine what the big red machine will do to you...not worried, two year from now,  PAM will own that district...hopefully it won't cripple them in the playoffs due to the dominance they would show.

    I make this really quick...

#1. Those "ex players" you speak of are only there because them or their parents KNEW they would spend their high school careers as the #3 or #4 players at Memorial.

#2. 9 times out of 10, Those players/parents(from PA) that decided to take their talents to the middle of Jefferson County end up with nothing to show for their efforts. (Scholarships, scholly whatever you to call it)

    I'm closing now.

#3. I know the few responses will be "Quality of Education", well let me just cut that of before it even gets started. If little"Susie" or little "Johnny" WANTS to learn they're going to learn. If they want be "dumb as a box of rocks" that's what they're going to do also. No matter WHAT SCHOOL they attend.

Now with that being said, good luck to the Bulldogs. Hopefully they continue that district win streak. Aleast for the next two years when realignment rolls around again, because those a South County Titans have been known to end streaks.
    Good day.
