  1. WOS will be loaded with speed next year Franks, Gloston, Haynes, there on both relay teams. Central will lose their main horse Hall to A&M Ozen will also lose some speed but honestly in the Pear Orachard there will be speed coming from some where
  2. Did you ever think for a minute that maybe it isn't the coaches it's the kids... Ozen's Fastest, don't get me wrong, I know the talent has dropped in some of those sports especially girls basketball. You mean to tell me that a team can go to 4 out of 5 regional tourny's and then not win ONE game. The only player that was back was ran off. Im sorry, but that is mostly coaching!! When I say say maybe it's the kids, Im not referring to weather or not they have talent, it's weather or not the kids are mentally motivated and discipline enough to accept change. Perfect example girls basketball, you bring over an entire 8th grade team and almost immediatley play themon varsity, well thats a transitional phase already, not to mention you have new coach and new system, new rules, new personality. The kids have to accept it and by into the new program. This is the same at all levels, you cant always blame coaching, it happens in the NFL where the quote unquote best coaches in the land are hired. The Dolphins are full of talent and good coaches but nearly went without a win all season. So it happens and then someone mentioned track and field, well the girls team hasnt really been loaded since dropping down to 3A anyway, they lost 5-6 Sr. from last years squad and honestly there arent many big track squads anywhere b/c who wants to run track it's a tough sport. The boys squad only has maybe 15 kids and there still successful....

  4. I am always right when it comes to BASKETBALL RELATED issues...all of that other frivilous nonsense is hit or miss. District picks and things of that nature that some people on here seem to care about, is not that important..BUT..If is has to do specifically with the roundball, I am ALL OVER IT!! Dickie V as a coach you do know more about how certain situations are handled, and in this particular case the picking of all district selections, which really doesnt mean anything to kids and coaches who are accustom to receiving accolades. What you have to remember is that this is an open forum and just like there are idiots who questions why certain coaches call certain plays and bash a coach who is a proven winner they feel as if they can do a better job. however as a coach you cant bash them when they mess up your order at burger king or ring up the wrong price at the exxon corner store ;D ;D. all im saying is dont let these guys on the forum upset you b/c it's all for fun and games and hey who likes a person who has confidence in their knowledge of their profession and always thinks their right. many times you are some times you might not be, but remember every time your wrong their gonna ride you it just comes along with the territory
  5. You aint never lying about that... How many district games in a row, this has to be a conspiracy.. Come on 21-3A somebody have some pride....
  6. There times and names arent even listed in the final results from last years regional results, so that means they didnt even qualify for the finals, and if they would have ran those times they would have been in the finals on saturday.. 2A Region III 100 meter dash final results (1st place Meekings- Winona 10.94, 2nd place Truitt- Marks 11.00, 3rd place Thompson- Troup 11.17) 2A Region III 200 meter dash final results (1st place Meekings- Winona 21.76, 2nd place Horace- Carrigan Camden 22.06, 3rd place Thompson- Troup 22.43) Great FACTS Ozen fastest It's funny to read some of this cra____ that is typed on here a 10.6 Now that's funny! Im not trying to make fun are degrade the kids but to post something like that to try and pump a kid up is ridiculous. If they wouldhave kept it as he was the fastest kid in his district or maybe even he could repeat as district champion would have been fine. But to make up these times is a disgrace to the sport I love. I didnt get this screen name for nothing. I know what a 10.60 looks like and not knocking the kid but if he would have run a 10.60 I would have seen him in Austin last year and probably have been cheering him on as he represeted SE Texas. There arent alot of 10.60's in this area. Maybe Hall from Central or possibly Glosten from West Orange- Stark by the end of the season, but keep it real on here or I will find the truth ;)
  7. The Jaguars from Central seem to be the team to beat this year in SE Texas Track, other than Angleton no other team seems to be up there with them sprinting wise. They've started this season off rolling and seem to only get better week after week. What's going on with my Panthers is the question, but I know Coach Young will have them rolling by district, and the 3A West Orange- Mustangs are hanging in there with all the 5a and 4A's by running against the BIG schools for the last couple of weeks I guess they're getting themselves ready for a strong push for district as well, that new coach seems to have a good grasp on things....

Tryel - Little Elm (6-6) 5. Williamson - Vidor (6-5) Long Jump 7. Bailey - Port Arthur Memorial (22-2)
  15. The thing with these times right now is that it's the beginning of the season and as the season goes on each time on the list should drop at least 1.0 seconds. So teams like Central will easily chase down a high 40. point something the closer they get to district and regionals, and those low 42's will become low 41's...

  17. I have to diasgree with you on this one Coop, last years team was no where near running as fast as this team... Look at the times from last year, both times from last years first two meets weren't as fast as this years..
  18. It's not about offending anyone, it's just ridiculous that you would even consider an award after witnessing one game.. Now to the part thats offending, how in the H@#L could you nominate an assistant over the head coach, thats the part that makes you post seam negative, as if the head man isnt capable of doing his job...
  19. They finished 2nd to Central in a loaded heat with a time of 42.53.. They were the only 3A school in a heat with Ozen, West Brook, Port Arthur Memorial, and Barbers Hill. This was a suprise seeing how they lost 3 Seniors from last years team State Qualifiying Team... do u know any of the guys Trey Franks (SOPH), Josh Gloston (JR.), Seth Thomas (SR.), James Haynes (SOPH)

  21. After Friday night it looks like Central is in for another good year... They looked very good in the relays... What happen to Hall in the 100 meter dash, i though he would run it, I guess the wheather played a part...
  22. Beaumont Central and West Orange Stark boy relay teams came ready to run Friday on a wet but warm day at Bull Dog Stadium. The Central boys took 1st place in both the 4x100 with a time of 41.68 I think it was and a 1:29.00 in the 4x200. While the West Orange Stark boys took second in the 4x100 with a time of 42.53 and 3rd with a tome of 1:31.00 in the 4x200. West Orange sprinter Josh Gloston also took home a gold medal in the 100m dash.
