Exactly. Trey is fast no matter what. I hope here soon he gets to prove the wind was not a factor. Scary part is Trey will now be training for the 100 I am sure a little harder than he was before. Franks really doesnt have anything left to prove, he beat the best that the area wanted to put up in YMBL which is the biggest meet in SETX, which gives him the area lead, and I say the best the area wanted to put up b/c Central held out Jeffery Thomas... Now that would be the race, but until then Franks is the MAN to beat

VY called the game vs Central...I don't think that's what you guys wanna have as an offense...sure it could be that you were over-matched-talent wise and coaching wise-but I think JN would be a good fit b/c he's a young fiery coach who's been in winning program the last few seasons! From what I heard Coach Young only held the title of OC!!!

Spoke with Coach Young at the YMBL track meet and he seems to have a great relationship with the kids and current coaches. He's been around for a long time and has Coached for some really good teams. GOOD LUCK

With out a dought wind or no wind he was by himself when he came across the line. The wind factor only tells us one thing and that is his time will not be legally ranked when it comes to state rankings and records. Also because of the use of hand held watches and not the FAT timing system 2.5 seconds should be added to get a legit time for rankings. However when the 2.5 seconds are added it still comes out to a really fast 10.40, which is fast enough for a SETX leading 100m dash.. ;)

It should be an easy decision! But, this is BMT, sometime you never know which way they're gonna screw it up! They will screw things up believe me.......ex:Hiring of coach clayton never know what savaet will do these days I wouldnt say Clayton was a bad hire, I would just say that he made a few mistakes in judgement..

You must be high. A. Lou was 0-fer against Ned and PN-G. Brooks had the best winning percentage @Ozen so far. He (Brooks) couldn't handle the pressure to win and thus left for perceived greener pastures... I stand corrected, Brooks percentage was better. 8) Brooks winning percentage was better for the simple fact that he not only inhereted a winning program, but he only had 2 yrs as to Arthur who had 4yr. Also in Arthur's first yr he had no Sr.'s and still made it to the play-offs Brooks not only had Sr. but he had a ton of D-1 players from Arthur's team... And if you look at the historical sight Arthur did beat nederland he also beat WOS... Brooks had a better winning percentage and he swept Nederland. Both Louis and Brooks were (1-1) vs. WOS. Louis was removed simply because he couldn't beat Nederland!! Louis and Brooks are both very good men and very good coaches and are BOTH disciplinary guys!! If you had to pick between the two the biggest difference would be Brooks has been a head coach for 17 years and made it to the playoffs 16 *PNG Blown Call 2003* the only exception. Louis has been a head coach for 4 years and made it to the playoffs all 4. Oh yeah, Coach Brooks does have those 4 State Titles under his belt!! If you had to make the call between those two, who would you go with? Its not about who's the better "Coach" it's about who is best for the job and for the kids.. Both are great men and were successful, but when it comes done to Ozen High School and who did a better job my nod goes to Louis... Some times it's not about always winning that State Chmpionship but how you effect the lives of the young men...

Oh OK, I see....... : Why are you transfering this argument to football? I have just had this argument last night with a friend who is a poster here. I was saying that looking at all that talent. I mean, you take willie. He's every bit o 6'8" and is a very athletic speciment. There is no reason that he couldn't have been one of the best posession receivers in the state. To be honest, he was the best in the state for what he did, which was score in the Redzone. He was unstoppable inside the 20. He scored each of his TD's inside the 20. I think maybe 5 out of his 7 were jump balls in which they just threw the fade to him. But you are right he could have been a much better possesion reciever but he dropped to many when they needed him to make a play. Anthony Lee became more of go to threat than Willie at times. But they complimented each other very well.

Ozen lost more football players in the past two seasons and the numbers show it b/c the football team hasnt had much success

To be honest with all the coaching changes in 20-4A Im looking forward to just about any game, I mean Ozen, Central, LCM, Port Arthur, PNG.... A new coach can make a huge difference in wins and losses....

Ozen has lost athletes to WB and Central however there is and always will be talent at the school. I mean look at the number of signees that they had this year alone with a record of 3-7. So having talent will NEVER be an issue for a Coach at Ozen. If Arthur would have had a Willie Jefferson he probably would have been an All- American.

That would be the obvious choice but the question is does he want to return. BISD administration needs to open up there eyes and realize that he is exactly what Ozen needs. A Disciplinarian who will get athletes back in the field house and out of the hallways and principal office... Since he left even when Brooks was there the school hasnt been the same.. Brooks was an excellent football coach but Louis was both a Discplinarian figure as well as a good coach...

I set back and read comments on Top Hat and how he/she wanted to blast BISD and then I read as he/she stood corrected by Tiger 90, I now see why you are not a practicing administrator.. For the simple reason that if this were not on thread charges could be brought up against you for slander... No fun intended...

This just sickens me to read comments like this about a KID..I mean he is just a KID. Sounds like your bitter that you didnt get your chance to recieve that DODGEBALL scholarship to that Junior College when you graduated.. Like the kids say you must be a HATER...

I'll put it out like this, when the kids from Bridge City got busted for using sterioids it was as BIG as some of you guys are making this out to BE.... Yes Willie is guilty but @#$% do yall need to keep talking about what his punishment should be, if the Coach said he knew nothing about it, at least give him a chance to make a decision on the issue before everyone assumes he will do nothing of it, and if he only suspends him for 2-4 games ok... it is what is get over..

Again I'm not saying that the kid shouldnt be punished what Im saying is that he shouldnt be crucified on a thread about him making wrong decisions and the coach saying that he knew nothing about it, again he cant punish himself and unless you know for a fact the the Coach did know about this incident leave it alone. He will be punished by the state that is coming automatically weather by fine, probation or some type of community service. Now again if this matter was handled by the parents and they chose not to notify the Coach and Administrators b/c it was an incident that didnt happen on campus then thats their business. However if the Coach did know about it then you have an argument... But unless you were there when the Jefferson family notified the school of the incident stop asking for the kid and the program to be reprimanded further...

These highschool players are just kids and dealing with kids you must understand that they aren't perfect and do make mistakes... How many of you adults have made are still make wrong mistakes in life and are jumping on kids like they come from story book lifestyles, I ask how many times have you guys have had a drink or two and got behind a wheel or better than that how many of you guys take a drink while behind the wheel and hope you dont get stopped by the cops. My point is give the kid a break. Was it his fault that he wasnt supended from the team or even a game no, has anybody ever thought that maybe the Coach really didnt know "NO".. I'm not defending anyone, but this incident didnt happen in Beaumont so who's to say his parents didnt bail him out on their own, disciplined their own child on their own, and b/c it was family business never told the Coach or BISD administrators... This is this kids future we're talking about, we've all made mistakes in like, he obviously knew that he was in the wrong and b/c his Coach either didnt know or chose not to punish him you cant blame the kid for playing... "What Would You Do, Suspend Yourself"

Who's gonna have what this year in track & field? Will Central win another title and return to Austin with returners (Charlie and Jeffery Thomas) Will Ozen get back on track and contend for the the district title.. How about WOS will they make it two in a row or will Bridge City get it back...

Well I'll say this, until my panthers get can stop giving games away I dont have much to rant about... They have physically beatin up every team they've faced in district, showing that they can physically stop NED, LUM, and even LIV, but they have found ways to shoot themselves in the foot... We dpnt have much to brag about in Pantherland, but a WIN against CEN will give us something to smile about ;D ;D ;D

Well it gets to the point where you want to question just what type of discipline they are referring to or if they are really saying what they want to say. Give me one team that doesn't receive flags on Friday night, or what team doesn't have players to blow an assignment... So it makes me wonder are we saying that Ozen is not discipline to where they shoot themselves in the foot or are we trying to say something else. ??? ??? You see there is a difference between the two. You see when you have a team with talent and they lose it's easy to say that they are un discipline, but football is game where it takes alot more that just those two factors. Ozen has played very well this season and it will carry on into district. Ozen has received an enormous amount of flags and the defense is as tough as I 've seen in a long time

Where does all of this no disicipline talk come from... We'll see Tuesday night how disicipline they are when they are told to go out and hit Nederland smack in the mouth and take this game from them.. Unlike Nederland, Ozen has a defense and they will tackle and play physical football....
