1. Snapple sent about 40 cases to the school Friday.  The principal allowed all the seniors to go to the cafeteria first, get them a drink and sit and talk for awhile.  Then, the juniors went, and so on.  I'm very thankful for the new principal at WOS this year.  Classy guy and he has handled this situation in such a professional and compassionate way.
 2. Very nice Wim-bro!  Thanks for sharing.  It's been an emotional week!
 3. It's great that such a large company would recognize the Reggie Garrett Foundation in ANY way!  So often, large corporations like that will not give to small causes due to being bombarded for donations for EVERY little thing that comes along. I was surprised and touched to hear what Snapple did for the students at WOS.  It's the gesture of everything that everyone has done that is so awe-inspiring.  It's not the amount of the donation, but that they cared enough to do anything.
 4. Good news to hear this!  Glad that Lamar supports our local teams!
 5. PayPal would be a great idea.  Thanks for all you do for the Mustangs Tony!
 6.
I wanted to address something if I could. I appreciate very much the kind words but I want to clarify something. I did get one response (outside of the forum) that hinted to the possibility of someone misinterpreting something I wrote. In the last line of the article I wrote that I would return to full coverage "once the shock of this week wears off". This individual felt that I should not have written that line because it implied that within a week Reggie Garrett would be forgotten and we could go on with our lives. If anyone took that from what I wrote, I apologize. That is in no way what I meant. Although it's normal for people to move on, there is no doubt that this event has had a lasting impact on many and will never be forgotten by most of us. I in no way meant to trivialize the situation so, if anyone took that line the wrong way, I am truly sorry and I hope you will accept my sincere apology. God bless!
Wow, LR1969!  You did an awesome job with the article and though I don't think you need to apologize, it is very commendable of you to do so in case someone else DID misinterpret it.  Kudos to you.  God bless you back!!!
 7.
The #12 at Silsbee is retired. They have no jersey with #12 for anyone to wear.
Hey Aggies...can they turn an 11 into a 12 with some white tape?
Because of your sportsmanship gesture then I will give you one. :D SMITES are like NBA  fouls--sometimes they are necessary to keep another jerk from scoring.  ;D
LOL.  Right back at cha, Weed.  Thanks.
 9.
Also, at Tiger Stadium, on top of the hill above the horseshoe seats, 6 flags representing each team from district 21-3A are flown during every home game. The WOS flag will be at half staff for this Friday's game.
Very noble gesture!!!  Thank you, Silsbee!
 10. I don't have a dog in this fight, but if he moved into the PNG district, then there is a 15-day wait period before he can play provided the coach signs off on his transfer.
 11. How about the name on THIS link? [Hidden Content] It's about Reggie and the title is "Are Young Athletes Being Played to Death?"  Now why would they name it that?  Sensationalism!!!!
 12. Wow, Kountze!  Unbelievable gesture.  Much appreciated.  Very touching.
 13.
It would show respect, not cost anything and would not be hard to do. During the half time shows, have the marching bands make a 112% on the field and play a song in dedication of Reggie. just a thought...................
WOS band could only do one number at a time!  I can remember when they were big enough to spell out West Orange-Stark on the field, stretching from goal post to goal post.  Now, we can only make the "O".  Pretty neat idea though!
 14.
All I can say is "WOW"....the Golden Triangle pulls together no matter what the tragedy is.
Absolutely no place like home!!!!!

 17.
Someone just told me that Garret was lamars starting Qb brother (Bevil) Is this true?
They were neighbors.  Bevil stated that on tv last night that Reggie always followed him around and looked up to him.

Yes it will be a very tough night. The wins and losses will not be important this season...at least for me. The way Kirbyville and the rest of the towns have responded I really have no desire in beating them. Our surrounding towns are nothing short of classy.
i agree but as a Kirbyville fan how could you go into it wanting to win it either?  Do we have to keep score, cant they just turn the scoreboard off and let them play for the love of the game and Reggie and forget about winning and losing!  I know they cant but that would be awesome!!
That is extremely admirable, Ryker!
 19.
Class move from the Tigers. Speaking of that the Jasper Coaches and players showed more class and respect than I have ever seen shown by any team. People in Jasper should be extremely proud of the coaches and players. I know as a WOS fan I am very proud of those boys and men. Thank you for the way you consoled the Mustangs after the game. I can honestly say that the Jasper Bulldogs gained at least one fan Friday night by the way they handled themselves.
Well said.  It was obvious when Coach Hooks told the referee and the referee walked across the field to tell Coach Bickham.  It was also obvious that Coach Bickham was shocked with the news.  The Bulldogs were classy and compassionate.
 20. Gotta take the battery out of it and put all of it in the sealed bag of rice (ziploc bag).  It works. Voice of experience talking here. ;D
