Barbers Hill fans.  Why don't you submit a good looking picture to TexasBob and his website at [Hidden Content] ?  That way, your stadium picture and information can get updated.  There is an e-mail that you submit the information to.
Thanks, but we'll wait for the visitor stands to get finished so there is no whining about that  ;D
 2. Who is arguing that football is not king? and wasnt beating my chest or anyone elses about success in other sports...once again...just pointing out why so many Dayton (non-football) parents are unhappy with the overall athletic program.  It was a response to the Dayton poster saying "Nobody cares about..." other sports/activities.  Truth hurts so much that you cant seem follow the thread ? lol.

Once they learn how to develope the other sports they may have a rival ,but when you beat someone in fooball every year then lose at all other competitions it's hard to develope a rival ship ;D PNG and NED are competitive at most sports and take turns at beating each other in all competitions thus the Rival IMO ;D Stir Stir Stir :o
In Texas,  football supersedes all other sports.  [glow=red,2,300]Nobody cares about girls volleyball or CX debate[/glow].   We'll continue to be one of the best, if not the best program in the area in the last 15 years and yall can sit back with your big mouth coach and wish you could compete with us.  I thought last year might teach you boys on the hill a little lesson in humility, but I guess not.
And this sentiment is why there is so much discontent with parents in purpleland...  No surprise that Dayton can't be successful in other sports lol
No surprise that you hang on to secondary sports, when you're mediocre at best on the gridiron. Actually mediocrity might be a step up from 54-0.
Wow, that took a "weak" for a response.  Nobody is hanging on to secondary sports, just pointing out the typical Dayton poster's rationale that only football matters (to excuse their lack of competiveness in ever other sport), which is kinda sad...The envy continues..... ;D

 5. Well said and know you that are not alone.  I had almost the exact situation (and the same emotional response).  Although mine was switching to another sport, the 100's of hours I spent with her in softball were NOT wasted.  Its a bond I, and you, will always have with our DD's.  At the end of the day, they should be HAPPY and not just trying to please us or others.  Good luck to you and her...time for a new adventure!
 6.
Hello to all I have enjoyed my 10 years in Dayton. It has been fun to coach Basketball and Softball and enjoy all the kids that have come through Dayton in that period of time. The job is open because I think it is time to be a DAD as I have an 11 yr old son. I am going to St.Mary's in Humble so I can coach my son as he begins his athletic career. I have thought a long time about this decision and it wasn't easy. As most of you know We have everyone back from our 28-6 team from last year. Should be 2 Great games with the HILL again this year. Have a good chance to make a run come playoff time. I will miss getting to see the fans from other teams who have come up and said hello over the years and HILL I will miss the pregame talk..lol.  Thanks to everyone who has supported our Program over the past 10 years and helped us become successful. I Know Dayton will hire the riht person to come in and continue building our basketball program. I just figured this was easier than letting the gossip mill begin...Not that that would ever happen on this site ;D Thanks to all' David Wooldridge
Thanks for filling us in Coach and good luck on your new challenge.  You did a fantastic job with that program and Dayton has some big shoes to fill!

The dads at BH can't run through the blow up wishing they were still in high school playing football. 5. It won't help the coach bashing that goes on every year at BH and finally #6, It won't make the the Hill is for real. :D
Doesn't need to...The Hill is already for Real  ;)  Where have you been?  ;D
 8. Congrats!...North Platte is actually a pretty cool place.  And they are going to have a tough team with that group!
 9. I doubt seriously there were any UIL violations.  There were about 2000 non seniors playing all over the country this weekend for the April college eval.  None of the HS coaches participating in this coached their own players so it was all completely legit.
I think you can make a really good case for Harris.  Every year there is debate on who gets district MVP in most districts...is it the best player in the district or the one player who means more to her team than any other player to their team.  I think that Harris is close to number one in both of those cases.  Without her, Liv may not even make the playoffs.  So she is VERY valuable to her team.  Oh and by the way...how far you go in the playoffs makes no difference whatsoever, since the voting usually takes place in the first week after the season.  So the fact that Ozen went to the final four doesnt matter...the players had already been chosen before that. You think think the district picks were screwed up?  Take a look at the all-state pics!  How does a "good" freshman from 19-4a get selected for all-state, when "great" players like Booker, Jones, and several others DON'T.   What the heck is going with that?????? BOOKER DID GET FIRST TEAM ALL STATE!!! :o

You are right teardrop, she did make the TABC all-state, but there are two all state polls.  When I said she didnt, the other poll (Tx Girls Coaching Association- TGCA) was the only one out and she wasnt on it.  Kendall Shaw of BH made the first, but not the second.  Rediculous.  Congrats to Booker on making the TABC all-state!
Teardrop is not going to get the concept of MVP anymore than he can find the "caps lock" key... ;D
I AM NOT A HE!!! :P  I LIKE THE CAP LOCK KEY...THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! :P  AND I DO GET THE CONCEPT OF THE MVP.  I DID NOT KNOCK HARRIS FOR GETTING MVP!!  I SAID BOOKER WAS A GOOD CANDIDATE ALSO!!  CAN YOU READ? :o  I JUST STATED THAT THE OTHER WINNERS WERE QUESTIONABLE.  ???  BOOKER SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN SOME KIND OF DISTRICT HONORS BESIDES FIRST TEAM!!  BUT, ONCE AGAIN THAT IS MY OPINION AND I AM ENTITLED TO IT!! ;)
Just poking fun at your all-caps, which is considered screaming and poor manners on a discussion board. But since you brought it up, the same applies to  Booker just getting first team.  It seems like the coaches always vote who was the  most valuable (off or def) to their respective TEAM, not the best in the district.  Over here in 19-4a, the players who won offensive and defensive MVP's were most definitely NOT the best offensive or defensive players.  It happened last year too...  sorry about referring to you as he!

 16.
mrs. harris is well deserved of the mvp, but she was on a third place team. central and ozen both had players that made the all- state list and whom teams finished 1-2 in district. i would have loved to be at that meeting to see voting.
Thats not unusual at all.  Happens in lots of districts that a great player from a team that does not finish high gets a superlative.

I hav seen nothing on either one.
yep...my bad...looking for 20-4a too.
 18. BH's Kendall Shaw was the (well deserved) District MVP, but don't have the full list with me.  Will try to get that and post soon.
 19. 17 3's!!  thats got to be some kind of record, wow!
 20.
Great season Lady Panthers.  Hold your heads up.  You took them to the buzzer.
ABSOLUTELY Ladies...OUTSTANDING effort, so proud of you....you got it next year...or your 19-4a neighbors!!! :)))))))))) What an effort!
 21. I'm really rooting for Ozen, but the reality is that Canyon is a well-disciplined MACHINE of winning every year.  I'm goin to have to go with Canyon by 12+.  Please prove me wrong Big O.
 22. Way to go Ozen...will be in Austin next week to watch Jones, Booker and gang.  Good luck!
