One of the area's toughest non-district schedules although non-district doesn't really matter for most teams!
-
We think that they can do alright! Lots of great lettermen returning from the 2016 squad! We all know it's going to be tough for Coach DuBois and his staff but the best players are going to play!
-
This is why I am telling everyone to leave your valuables at home!

If Flanigan resigns or gets fired as WB HFB Coach, might he apply?
-
Well, it isn't 40 but it was a great win for PNG!

Vidor's first win over Nederland in Nederland in over 35 years is a very long time! Both Teams never went down without a fight!

This is why it cost games for the football team! Penalties and turnovers! Next week, it'll be back to the drawing board for them!

I love the comment! That is the problem in society today! This is why this once-so-proud country is going in the wrong direction! I hope we can elect someone who can stand up to the values of this Nation and make the USA so proud again!

That would be a great matchup! Hope it'll work out!

Will that fill WO-S's schedule?
-
On behalf of SETX Sports, I wish him the best! Now, who is going to fill his spot?

week 2 and 3 is filled, I just couldn't remember what teams Coach Sutherland told me this morning. I am thinking it is Hamshire-Fannett and Deweyville. In fact, I am almost certain those are the two teams.
Jasper is looking for games! Why don't EC play them?
-
I'd really wish they either play Sulphur (they scrimmaged them one year and did great against them), Kelly (WO-S likely will clobber them), or maybe Texarkana (TX) (Norton was an assistant before taking the job). Hopefully, the schedule will be up to ten games before long.

Hope you are right Cougar 14.2 ! I'll be there to support my alma mater. What scared me is seeing 35 players dressed out for varsity games last year. But the Panthers will show up on Friday Night.Just ask Beaumont Central.I think Central forgot they had a Whatley in their backfield the second half. Also King is also noted for some of their players finding mailboxes elsewhere.
I might know why Coach Toby Foreman has 35-40 players on varsity is because he only wants the best players playing. He learned the less players on varsity from Coach Hooks at WO-S. Back when I was a manager during the late 90's/early 00's, there were the same amount of varsity players mentioned and their enrollment was estimated 900 students going against schools in the district nearly twice that size.

Reportedly, there is one Orange County team that wishes to be one of Jasper's non-district opponents.
And that is West Orange-Stark.

The quality of the school district is getting lower. I see what the problem is.
-
It's because of the economy like I mentioned in the other posts.

No doubt PAM has the athletes to compete, it will be interesting to see where this leads. Will Kenny Ray be the New AD when Boutte is gone, or will a new HC/AD be hired? Will it be a head BB coach/ AD? Sorry folks, this isnt the same PA from 30 yrs back, back then there were state championships in baseball, basketball and good runs in football as well. Last I saw the hispanic population was at 50%......,No offense to anyone but the hispanics dont participate in football, basketball etc.........Things have, and will continue to change in PA, just like every other place. Born and bred in PA, bleed maroon and gold and would never want to offend anyone. The demographics in PA are steadily changing.......
It's possibly because of the desegregation lawsuit(s). That's what I think about the demographic shift in PAISD. Quality has been affected as a result of this so either parents send their children to private schools or neighboring school districts (Nederland, Port Neches, etc.). As far as Head FB coach and\or AD is concerned, a change in leadership is necessary.

Allen survives barely!

Beaumont needs to go back to 2 schools period. When I was at West Brook in late 80's and early 90's, West Brook and Central were in the playoffs every year. They put out very competitive teams. The old Hebert folks screwed up Beaumont when the ISD gave in and let them have their old Hebert back. Funny thing is, Ozen with the exception of a couple of good years in basketball and a couple in football hasn't done squat. If BISD folks are happy though then keep it 3 schools and get use to mediocre.
Amen to that! That way, it'll be more cost-effective!
-
The reason is Beaumont Bowl rivalries in all sports! Like mentioned in past posts, BISD is better off with two high schools. Before Dr. Thomas came on board as Supt., things were more simpler! Now, it's more complicated! I don't understand why the district is falling apart.

Both Mid-County schools are looking forward to a new rivalry with Memorial (if they drop)! Other than that, let's see how it goes!
ARTHUR LOUIS NAMED NEW HEAD COACH AT BEAUMONT UNITED!

Coach Louis and his staff are going to make very tough decisions on who is going to be on the rosters. They are going to put the best players on there and the best players will play!
