Silsbee, if their budget allows, should get artificial turf to Tiger Stadium. That way, they should host more playoff gmes! That'll be great for 1A/2A teams!

I forward that to my cousin who has coaching experience. He played long snapper/tight end/defensive lineman in high school and was a former LCM/LU standout pitcher who played in the Colorado Rockies organization but never made it past AA. He would be great for the job but I don't know if he will apply but hopefully Colmesneil will find someone!

I compare him to Coach T (WOS) bsullivan! He is a firm disciplinarian like him! Made boys into responsible young adults! Hopefully, someone will carry on Coach Lynch's tradition!

Tennis is one of the fastest growing sports in the nation! It's a lifetime sport (a sport that a person can play in a lifetime)! Anyone can play tennis! There should be schools in Southeast Texas that have a "no-cut" tennis program which means any student can and will not be denied a spot on the team although not everyone will earn a spot on the varsity! I hope an AD/head football coach could come in and hopefully increase not only participation in football but every sport as well! He should have an athletic program not only successful in winning and recruiting and retaining quality student-athletes, but successful in academics as well! Look at Coach Cris Stump at BC for example, he put Cardinal athletics on the map! He even started a soccer program! He had plenty of student-athletes earn academic all-district! I believe Coach Josh Smalley is the right person for the job! I've known him very well! He can put OHS athletics back in the map!

Lamar needs to stay competitive with McNeese as well as other schools in order to get to FBS! We need to come up with a plan and stick to it!

Will Sunday's game be the last for the legendary Coach G? We'll find out early next week!

And schedules need to strengthen as well! I don't want to see Division II teams who are very easy to beat! LU needs to play opponents that will toughen them up! Staying competitive!

We better start putting more wins on the board! I mean it! We have a lot of talented lettermen coming back and we don't have anything to lose!

When I was back attending middle school in West Orange back in the late '90's, I was in a special Ed/resource class. I was the only student motivated to get an education! Most of most classmates in that class, who were African-American, didn't want to be motivated to get an education. Would you like to know why? Because probably don't care! Their parents and boyfriends/girlfriends/fiance(e)s probably let them do whatever they want, wherever they want, anytime they want! My teacher was outraged when one of the students stay out until 3 am on school night and the parents think it's ok to let them do this! This is why they go into slavery of gangs and drugs rather than working hard and getting an education as well as getting involved in extra-curricular activities! Their ancestors have been freed from slavery and living the American dream just like everyone else! They do not need to be enslaved into substance abuse, gangs, and crime! That isn't living the American dream! Other than that, they obviously do not care!

I try to attend every chance I get! Texas State went FBS because of the large support from the students, alumni, and the Hays county/San Marcos community! If TXSU can do it, so can LU!

We need to start a petition drive in order to lobby to Commissioner Benson so that he could include Lamar in its conference expansion plans and we need to do it right now! Having Lamar going FBS would be a big advantage not only to the university but to the entire community like I said! It would attract students to both schools as well! It would heavily boost tourism and the economy to the Greater Houston/Golden Triangle area! Also, Lamar is more than one and a half to two hours from Houston and like three hours from New Orleans! We need to start getting off our rears and act now! If Lamar goes FBS and schedules a home game with the Air Force Academy, I will definitely be there! Would you? I understand that would be a few years from now if that dream becomes a reality!

Sooner or later, if Lamar goes FBS, our dream of brining like TCU, Texas Tech, Miami of OH, Miss. St., or maybe Air Force to PU could be a reality! Not only it will boost recruiting for both teams but boost the economy for the area as well in addition to attracting new students for both schools, especially Lamar!

The Bears have arguably the toughest schedule in the area overall! They better be prepared and highly motivated to face these Giants! I hope they watch the movie Facing the Giants!

I would like to show y'all the comparison of discipline differences back in 1960 and in 2008! I want you to go to YouTube and put in "Life in 1960 vs 2008." This is how everything compares between those years!

Maybe I should run for political office! People need a gold ole fashioned politician who absolutely means business and all that fancy stuff is not needed! A real politician that knows what's going on anywhere and everywhere!

Not only it takes discipline for trying to get the upcoming high school and college grads across the country to fill positions vacated by the baby boomer generation who are retiring almost everyday so we can get this economy back on track, people need to stop spending and get out of debt and stay out of it! That's the problem in this economy is debt! Maybe everyone should take Dave Ramsey's course or Christian Financial Concepts by Crown Financial! That includes everyone who is involved in Government (local, State, and Federal)! Maybe that'll teach the US how to control spending and save! Adults not only need to start acting like it but dress like one as well and I mean collared shirts in public! Flip flops should only be for wearing around the house, the beach, or the pool! I can't believe that parents think it's OK to let their children dress whatever they feel like dressing to church on Sunday mornings! More than 50 years ago, the majority of the men wore slacks, dress shirts, and ties as well as dress shoes to church and women wore hats and gloves as well! Now, they wear like sports jerseys, shorts, and sneakers! That would be acceptable on Sunday evening services when most pastors wear like khakis and a button-down or polo shirt on those nights! I was taught to wear my modest Sunday best! I respect that the times have changed since them but those who are Catholic and Mormon never thought it's acceptable to dress like they do to Sunday morning services! We should go back to the tradition of dressing up for church as well as eating out?

I hope FIU and FAU could join UTSA in CUSA, if it happens! Maybe TXSU and LU could take their spots!

Does BISD need a fourth high school? Is overcrowding becoming an issue in the district or is it the quality of an education is the need for one? Why the enrollment for BISD is probably dropping is because of quality! Parents who send their children to great schools is because of that. They need to halt their plans and improve the quality and fill schools to capacity!

Lamar has an advantage because they played a tougher schedule than Vermont. They faced Ohio State and Kentucky although despite not winning those games played well against two powerhouses while Vermont almost beat USF and Harvard! Both teams will come out and be ready to play!

I would highly doubt it if LU earns a spot in the NIT if they lose.
