Crosby only lost a couple of true starters. They will be solid as will KP. The new coach will be a blessing. I just don't see GCM competing with these two teams or maybe even King. They might can slip in at the 4 spot, not sure about Dayton. Crosby has 2 returning pitchers that are lights out. Gabryiski had a solid year and Langley is the more dominant pitcher that if Thompson would have utilized better would have added to their win total and higher seed in playoffs. Should make for a good battle with KP.

I agree, I think Crosby will be the the team to beat along with KP in 19-4A. I am surprised that the AD (Flannigan) actually hired a true baseball coach in Wiggins. I have heard nothing but positive stuff about this guy. This group has a lot of talent. KP will be tough as well, they didn't lose much either. I think GCM still has a couple of years to grow. BH has a young group, they will struggle to make the playoffs.

This won't hurt Crosby, some of their moves cost them a few games last year. Crosby will be strong this year no matter who is coaching. If it was up to Flannigan (AD) they wouldn't even have a coach for baseball.

No, they played on the Banditos together for Ray DeLeon. Outside of that we still play against each other during summer ball as well. I did hear that he committed to Arkansas.

I have some good friends at BH, and they have some great players. Don't look past Brenham, they are the real deal. I would love to see BH win but they will have their hands full. Brenham is solid and they don't make many mistakes. My son played with Brenham's ss Drake Roberts, he is one of the better kids you will see at this level. Good luck BH.

LCM has a good club but they better pound the ball against Buda. These kids can flat out stroke. The catcher and cf has about 33 home runs between the two of them. Playing in a bigger park may hurt LCM a little bit but you never know.

LCM played better plain and simple. Crosby had 3 hits and 3 errors. LCM had 7 and 2. LCM took advantage of every error, just like a good team should do. Nobody is taking anything away from them, they were the better team tonight. Game 2 tonight at 6:00, should be a good one.

Should be Langley for Crosby, but you never know.

Thats funny. Really don't know how hard Langley throws, just wanted to get a rise out of someone, looks like it worked. Actually seen him throw twice, throws hard, good stuff.

Langley from Crosby was clocked by Phillies scout consistently at 88. Topped out at 90-91 a couple of times.

The sophomore is not even there hardest thrower. He has had some run support this year which makes him look even better. Crosby beat Smesney both times they faced him and Burditt the only time they faced him. LCM better bring their "A" game to beat that bunch from Crosby.

You don't have to be state ranked to succeed in the playoffs. But, you better have more than one pitcher to rely on. There are a couple of teams out there that are throwing some kids way too much and it's starting to show. Not sure what Dayton is going to do this week with all the rain outs they have had. They can't throw Smesney every game. Well, you wouldn't think they would anyway.

At this point I would say KP, BH and Crosby will make it with KP winning district. The fourth spot is up for grabs. BH could drop to 3rd and Crosby to 2nd if they don't wake up.

Yes, final score 3-0 Crosby. I think Barbers Hill only had 2 hits. Crosby is starting to look good. Langley and Gabaryski have only allowed 4 hits total in the last two games (Dayton & Barbers Hill). Crosby beat Barbers Hill twice this year, Burditt threw for BH.

With the exception of North Forest, any team can beat the other on any given night. I don't think there is anyone that is just head and shoulders above the rest.

You have to win 1 game at a time. You can not look to the next game. He is there best chance to win What are you going to do, pitch him every game? You do have to take 1 win at a time, but you have to use more than 1 pitcher. I did say he is there best chance to win, but he threw once against them already. I would have given them a different look and then maybe bring him in to close last night. But they couldn't hit Crosby's pitching last night either.

I agree they were the better team last night. Kid from Crosby that threw had them confused most of the night. Crosby had already seen Smesney and was hitting his fastball hard, kind of surprised they threw him again against them. But, he does give you the best chance to win.

Dayton only had 2 hits, errors or not you can't win with only 2 hits.

Smesney got hit in the head with a curve ball because he leaned out over the plate. Crosby hit the ball hard last night against him, think he went 4 innings. Dayton only had 2 hits, one of them was a HR in the 7th. Kid from Crosby threw a good game.

They should be. Crosby had there number. Should be a good game because Crosby needs to just about win out and they should throw Langley and Gabaryski at them. They haven't seen Langley and he is their hardest thrower. This week will be tough on everyone.
