good point texans I don't think anyone ever said he was a star, but when you have his speed he can break a game wide open at anytime. There was also a kid by the name of Chance Casey playing here, now at Baylor, he was the go to guy. Not sure about not playing him on "D", that would be a good question for Flannigan. In this quote lies the problem! way to support your program TEL.... could this mentality be filtering down to the Kids?? if they are doing what you say; putting their heads down when the first time it goes bad, saying they can't beat them, and then blaming the coach? this is the same mentality of the above statement.!!!! Wow, Hitman I thought a winner is always the one who is able to give his opponent what he has earned. If I remember correctly Dayton has been the better team for sometime know. Until, that changes it is just plain and simple the truth. If you look at Flanigan's record vs. Stewart it looks like Stewart has the overwhelming edge in the head to head also in the amount of playoff visit's and depth in the playoff's. I don't recall reading anything about let's not try, just give up or they have no chance. In fact, I think he said they will prepare and play hard, that just reaks of negativity. What do you want me to say "Dayton sucks" and then hear all the crap about how they kicked our butt in football. My point is I can say what I want where I want. Unlike you I don't feel the need to belittle the opposing team to make me feel macho. Why do I need to talk trash about Dayton's football team when they are the best team around. TEL please, are you serious Basketball, Softball, and Baseball???? Crosby will be at best, 2nd place in all these sports just like in football. Which everyone knows 2nd place is really just the 1st place losier. Please don't bring those sports into this unless back up your play in those sports a little better than 2nd. First off, learn how to spell. FYI - Crosby won district in basketball, volleyball and softball last year. Although the baseball team did not win district last year we played you three times (WOS tournament then district) and beat you all three times. Not to take anything away from your best pitcher Smesney, heck of a ballplayer, we beat him twice and Walters was the loser in the other one. Is that backing it up good enough??? I did give you props for football, there is no denying that Dayton is the team to beat.

BH will have no problem with GCM no matter who the QB is. BH just needs to keep cool when GCM hits them after the whistle.

What is there to talk about, Dayton has a better football team than Crosby. Stewart is a better coach than Flannigan. That's not taking anything away from the kids, they still prepare and play hard. I would love to talk smack about it, and I would love to see Crosby win, just don't see it happening. Let's continue this discussion later with Basketball, Softball, and Baseball. I am not sure about GCM's defense but Crosby's sucks. You can say what you want to, I go to the games, they are going to have a hard time stopping anyone with talent. LB's are small and slow and secondary is even smaller and slower. Jakacy is not a bad RB, but now Merka is running more than he is behind a very small line. Flannigan is the main reason X moved to Dayton. There is no love lost between them. That is too bad for Crosby. He is not only a good athlete, he is also a very intelligent young man. Crosby will have no answer for X or for Dayton next week.

Mangum from Crosby did not sign with Rice. He wasn't even being recruited by Rice. I think KP takes district and Crosby comes in 2nd. KP returns everyone and Crosby only lost a couple. BH and King will battle for 3rd and 4th, no GCM, not yet anyway.

Crosby is in for a wake up call. With Xavier moving to Dayton and Chance Casey now at Baylor evreyone should key on Merka. He is good for a junior but still needs work. Crosby is still weak on defense, secondary is horrible. They better be able to score because they are going to have a hard time stopping people light up the score board.

Two of the dads that I know on that team told me at the Crosby game that they have very little coming back and it hurts that the coach over there only plays senoirs. BTW, not sure why people think Gil only plays seniors. Simply not true. Last year the seniors happened to be the best players. 2007 BH had 4 pitchers that were juniors, one of them was at 1st while not on the mound, junior @ ss, junior at 1b/of, and a junior at 3b. Urban legend, that's good. Rumor has it he beat Smesney in Crosby and held Dayton to only 2 hits. Probably some of that urban legend stuff though. You are right King and KP had Crosby's #. The same way Crosby had BH's and Dayton's #. But the last time I checked, baseball is a TEAM sport, one or two players don't make a team. You will also never hear me bash any KID no matter what his talent level is. Never look past any team no matter who they are or you will regret it. Where were you at in '07 and '08 when BH was the team to beat. Just curious ??? I was at the games and appreciated the talent they had. Didn't know about this site until this year. Where were you when Crosby swept BH this year (2009)? Just curious.

Langley,I have heard a lot about Langley, but seen a little. I don't even believe he played as a sophomore. Didn't see much of him as a junior so why is he going to be a threat has a senior. No one thought KP would do much last year but what a suprise. I see KP taking district easily, class act. Just don't count GCM out like we did KP last year. That's funny!! I believe a shoulder injury cut his sophomore season short. Your right, kid don't have much talent. Didn't know we would be slamming kids on here, wow! I am pretty sure he was 1st team A/D at CF. How did your CF come out. Just asking, I don't know the kid but I am sure he had talent. But it's not about one person, it's about the team. How did your team do against Crosby last year?? There is no doubt KP will be tough for anyone, they have a solid team, and didn't lose anything.

Crosby didn't let them slip away, they left without explaining anything. The bad thing is that Crosby will probably have their best year this year with the team they have in place. It was a shock to say the least. Two of the main players on this team started as Freshman. I wish Marcus the best, just wished he would have talked to some of the kids about it so they didn't find out through the grapevine.
