Since you brought it up lets see: Vista Ridge - 2 - 11 in district last year, no playoffs Kilgore - Losing record in district last year, No playoffs last year New Caney - 4 - 11 last year, no playoffs Texas City - 4 -14 and 0 - 3 in district this year Lumberton - No playoffs last year Pine Tree - Losing record in district last year, No playoffs last year. Caney Creek - Losing record last year in district, No playoffs last year.  Losing record this year. As for LCM, Santa Fe, Bridge City, Kingwood Park, - Consistently good teams. [/quote]Like I said, they are going to have to hit against the TOP teams (BH, GP, LEE, and GCM) if they want to make the playoffs. They need a few more kids to turn it up a notch. Hopefully it will start tomorrow night!

[/quote]They have also already played the two weakest teams in district which makes that number a little misleading. They need to hit against the [b]top[/b] teams in district if they are going to make the playoffs. They have to have a little run support for Gabby, Baytown Lee knows that. BH and GCM are going to throw their studs against you, better wake the sticks up.

Why would you move Thompson from behind the plate and stick him in right field? I thought the kid was solid as a sophomore with a bright future in front of him. I actually predicted him to be one of the best in district this year if not the best catcher in 19-4A. Did he get hurt? He has a strong arm and quick release what is the logic there? Denny is a good coach no doubt but he also was fortunate to have the returning talent that he has.

You are right though, I just hated to hear any negative press about him. We are not here to pass judgement on any of these young men or women.

I don't know much about BH"s head coach but I do know they have a solid program over there ever since I was in (84) school. They knew going into this year that it would be tough for them to make the playoff's. I even said last year that they would struggle to get in. Even with the young team they have they still barely missed out and played GCM for the final spot. They lost some games due to errors, we all did, but they never quit. You have some good talent over there that is really going to shine over the next few years. My guess would be that they battle for the top 2 spots next year. You have a young catcher that is probably going to be the best in the district, along with many other young guns. Don't divide the team, learn from this year and come back even stronger. BH has a bright future in front of them.
