One reason people rag on HD, which I would never do, a couple of posters on here ate still living in 1979. I don’t blame them, just trying to explain it. How many schools who have fans on this board have won a state championship in football? I know mine hasn’t.

Are the school histories for football going to come back? Or am I just not seeing it?

I got knocked out during a football game in Huffman. Coach takes me in his girlfriend's car to Dayton Hospital - it was closed! Went on to Liberty and stayed for xrays and such. The good ol 80's.

First coaching job was at Tarkington. Had a 7th grade boy turn in a 20 second 200! After that 1st meet he ran a normal time for 7th graders once he figured out that if you start in lane 8, you have to finish in lane 8!😃

When Darrell got the job, he had a winning record as a head coach. His record was well above .500 at Hull-Daisetta and Anahuac.

He had a better record coming to Jasper 10 years ago , than any of the candidates hoping to replace him. Are you trying to say that whoever the choice is tonight, they are only getting it because of their name?
