Yeah Shadow creek is REALLY good and U of H commit Ramon Walker had a buzzer beater jumper to win against Atascocita

I have seen Atascocita a couple of times and BU quit a bit. Right now today Atascocita is better by about 8 points. BU depends HEAVILY on teams turning the ball over but there are a few team you are NOT gonna get 15-30 turnovers against and Atascocita , Hightower, Shadow Creek, Legacy SOS and MAYBE summer creek are not. I think you missed not ranking SHADOW creek also. The have 3 ranked players just like BU and that kid that committed to U of H is a DAWG!!!!! Westbrook went into OT and lost to Nederland by 2. Nederland will lose to BU by 13+ tonight. I love how well coached they are but WHEN Yates finds his stroke Hightower is the only team in in 5A that can take them down RIGHT NOW TODAY. Only because they have two things that could hurt BU (a very ball handler B. Griggs and a big that can control the boards and get easy buckets in Baker 6'9)

Saturday at University of Houston. Row 2 seating in section s114 and row 1 in section 112. My son has a last minute little dribblers basketball game and we cant attend. I don't want them to go to waiste

In Beaumont we won't have little dribblers this season due to covid. Anyone know some organizations or just teams that would like to play. I have 9u,10 and 11u teams. Help me help the kids that we will one day talk about on this thread. We will travel kids just wanna hoop.

The UIL would be on high alert from all the 4A coaches snitching on yates lol. Yates wont even take him if he wont be eligible. Let me correct that. They WON play him if he wont be eligible. Griggs like to control the ball and the game so I don't think he would even consider Yates as an option.

I think the UIL will get involved if he goes to any public school in the Houston area not named Hightower. He could go to Legacy no problem because of it being a private school. That's a long drive from his current house though

Bryce Griggs will be returning back to Texas to resume his high school career. Will it be Legacy the School of Sports Science or Hightower HS, where he starred the past two seasons. Public schools are being restricted with their schedules, being unable to play in tournaments while Legacy will have a NATIONAL schedule. Beaumont United should be ALL EARS because if Griggs returns to Hightower that will put a HUGE road block in their way to state after dropping down from 6A to 5A. Also this will surely bump BU stud Terrence Arceneaux from his current #1 ranking in the greater Houston area class of 2022. Many waves will come from this decision.

I think the underrated position is the 5. Chatman was really good and would pull Clover away from the basket to really open it up for Hunter and ToeToe. Also Lofton is very good but didn't see anyone this year with the size and speed of Colton. Let us not forget Colton beat ozen in a playoff game with a buzzer beater going LEFT HANDED on the drive spinning between a double team to make the winning layup. Ended the game with 41 point 23 rebounds 6 ast and followed it up with 42 against Central. Hunter won District MVP but Colton won 4A STATE Player of the year. I think 2014 would win BUT if they played 10times it could easily be a 5-5 tie. I hear so many people talking SIZE with bush and he would get posted up but my question is out of all 10 of the players listed DO YOU REMEMBER POSTING UP. Kids don't even know how to post up now days. Plus guards cant even pass into the post lol. Bush will be fine as long as he doest have to guard COLTON lol Nice convo guys

I'm looking to help run a summer rec basketball league 6u,8u,10u and maybe 12u. Looking for teams that would like to join and play in Beaumont. We are finishing up a 7 week season now same ages. Had about 8 teams per division now!

5-6. But there is a spring league opening next month that is 5-14 coed 5on5. Good teaching tool

No Im actually serious. I ran across a old thread from 2015 that listed Braylon Bush when he was at Legacy, Jordyn Adams when he was at Vincent , Mcain from Silsbee. Dotson when he was with St Anthony and a few other kids. They were pretty accurate in that discuss. Just wanted to see the talent that will let our area to future State appearances

Word around the water cooler is that BISD has offered the Beaumont United Basketball head job to none other that Westbrook now coach A. Boutee! Awaiting his answer. Is this a good move for him coming off a 28-4 record with brook?

Word spreading is that they have offered the job to Westbrooks Boutee and are just awaiting his answer. Is this a good move for him? Both will be 6A schools not 5A
