I believe it was a team effort that allowed BU to win the game, several big plays , the blocked field goal was huge a big sack by I think number 46 , the QB ran well just needs to get his throws on point, overall defense played well and Rivers is who he is kind of like Brice Anderson for WB , ijs.

That wouldn't be a bad idea, That can only help with team unity and accountability perhaps your son can make that suggestion or head the meeting being he is one of if not the key players on the team .

As I stated earlier coaching is difficult enough, especially when you have parents that try to coach from bleachers and kids that don't execute the game plan. I don't have a kid playing but I have been on the other side (coaching) you have to have thick skin take constructive criticism and learn from possible mistakes,that in my opinion is what makes a good coach.

I do question as to why, be 1 dimensional and not be prepared to huddle under center for situations as running out the clock or on the 1 yard line etc... If I need a yard,why would I start 3-5 yard's behind the line of scrimmage?

Of course officiating got suspect in the end but we should have put the game away so the officiating or lack their of wouldn't have mattered.

Agreed but with the one when they fumbled while running the clock that's on coaches QB should have been under center if I am not mistaken we were in shotgun, the little things

I am not surprised by the new AD decisions at all, everything he has touched has turned to crap . Whats surprising is, the worst athletic program Lamar has had in the last 20 years or so haven't been touched which is Track and Field . Tic Price was at least trying to recruit local talent, and out of 7 seasons only had 2 losing seasons . This new AD is a looser and has come in and is destroying Lamar entire athletic program right before our eyes.

I agree that the 2001 team was on another level, that team was possibly 12 deep , but I disagree with the idea that this team benifited from Covid they played who was put in front of them .People tend to forget the 01 team beat the #1 5a team that same year . It really is hard to compare the two but if I had my choice I would take the 01 team all day no comparison.

I blame the quitting on the coaches , you have to have the right culture and that starts with the coaches weather you winning by 20 or loosing by 50 you still have to play with a certain attitude. I agree you quit on me,go somewhere else because you are here. Also,as far as what school they may have went to b4 merger we don't know but as of now they are merged so it doesn't matter one way or another,starts with the new coaches and the attitude they install within these kids.
