  1. Past hour
  2. Back to the kicking decisions. Hernandez could've put 3 points on the board from 5 yards farther back. Silsbee broadcaster even said he threw his hands up going back to the sideline. His only miss all year was last week with a bad snap. When he has punted he's dropped it inside the 5 when possible. He has talent. Things like this could be why the last kicker didnt return play his senior year. Even though he broke every record at WOS. At times they've shown zero confidence in them. Flashback to the OT loss at PNG few years ago. It went to OT because they wouldn't let the kicker kick. But Joseph did and the kid nailed it. How many times did we hear CT talk about winning all 3 phases?
  3. Today
  4. I missed it live but went back to the broadcast. You're right. Levi was in for KJ too. Really?!?! Its the same staff that called a TO on 3rd down of opening drive. Next play went -2. Then they went for it on 4th and lost 10 more yards. Why not punt from midfield? I'll get back to that. Then at the end its like he heard me say "we cant play prevent on offense." And replied back... hold my beer. Same coach ran down to call the TO. Put in the FG team. False start. So now lets try to throw to the end zone. Athleticism can only bail him out so many times. Will they have another KJ next year? Is Spears or Alexander gonna be another record breaking savior? Tonight we played a sloppy undisciplined game and escaped with a win. Think Silsbee had 14 points from scoop and scores. We couldn't make a 1st down after 2 of their turnovers. Penalties cost us numerous times. This wont work in December. Loved the cooler weather tonight but I want them to play indoors at some point. Only one place to do that.
  5. Anderson, WB pound United 28-14 By Tom Halliburton Tammeron Anderson never expected to run so much Friday night but the West Brook senior handled his heavy workload ‘ok’ by his own estimation. The Bruins quarterback and his big-play receiver/runner Brandon Jackson dazzled Beaumont United’s defense when it counted as the west end squad convincingly reclaimed the Beaumont Bowl title 28-14 at wind-blown Doggett Family Stadium. How convincingly did coach Chuck Langston’s red and blue (3-4 and 2-3) restore their 5A Division 1 playoff hopes? They outgained the younger Timberwolves (6-2 and 3-2) by a commanding 422 yards to United’s 246. How involved was West Brook’s field general in compiling that 422 total. The University of Louisiana pledge, Anderson ran a seemingly excessive 26 times for 151 yards and threw for 198 more. Tam tossed three scoring passes and dashed to paydirt for a fourth score. Anderson’s busiest receiver, Jackson, collected five of his passer’s nine completions for 166 yards and two touchdowns while Brock Anderson added a touchdown catch which shoved WB in the lead for keeps. There’s no way anyone expected the Bruins quarterback to take off and run that often. Not even Tam himself. But the Timberwolves defense had to stretch the field and assign a defender to guard each potential weapon as the Bruins constantly lined up in an empty backfield. That permitted Tam to dash into the wide-open spaces. “The game plan was to get the ball to my receivers but United has a great defense and our receivers weren’t always open,” the Bruins passer said. “We had to give them some unique looks (offensive formations),” said the head coach’s son and WB offensive coordinator Justice Langston. “We thought we might have to put it on Tam’s back.” When the rivals shook hands, Timberwolves head coach Drenard Williams spoke with class, complimenting the Bruins. “They kept our passing game contained and we couldn’t punch it into the end zone,” United’s second-year head coach said. “I take my hat off to them. It’s all about execution. But we sure don’t have time to hang our hats.” Anderson would be the first guy to admit that his night would feel far less than perfect. He lost two fumbles in the game’s first 15 minutes. United linebacker Myles Andrews jarred one loose in the end zone and teammate Justice Johnson covered it for touchdown, giving United a 14-7 lead less than a minute into the second quarter. From that point, WB’s offensive line decided to take charge, often escorting its quarterback to large yardage chunks. The Bruins tied the game midway in the second quarter with an 87-yard, 15-play drive. They grabbed their first lead late in the third quarter with a 62-yard, 14-play possession. The fourth-quarter trip to the end zone covered 64 yards in eight snaps. “I thought our offensive line played extremely well,” the Bruins head coach said. “We were very physical up front. Tam is a special young man with an unbelievable character. We put a lot on him tonight.” Senior offensive lineman Michael Richard felt his unit definitely took command of United’s defense after halftime. “I could tell by the energy we had,” Richard said. “We just had to make sure we executed and stayed together… The main thing is we just locked in on all of our plays.” As for the game’s most productive yardage gainer, the West Brook quarterback preferred to downplay his contribution. “I had an OK game but I could have done much better,” Anderson said. “I feel happy not for me but for the team, for our school and all the people on the west end.” Tom Halliburton is a Beaumont Enterprise senior sports correspondent
  6. The kid is one dimensional I figure bu could contain him and win the game man was I wrong smh….i guess that will be the start of a three game losing streak
  7. I like the young QB from silsbee.he has a lot upside!! He has a live arm. I worry more Abt w.o than silsbee.even though silsbee defense gave up a lot.they kept battling.i don'tthink y'all could see what we were seeing.lol, I'm telling you if one of silsbee lineman grab one of w.o kids I'm telling every play w.o ready to push and grab and everything else.lol, it was so bad that even at the for the last off side kick they called #9 again for the unsportsmanlike penalty.but, one problem.he was on the sidelines.if look across the state it's a reason teams in East Texas are better than our area.theyre more discipline.
  8. Also drops have been an issue all season. QB throws a good ball typically. Gotta give him that.
  9. Is getting the ball inside the five yard line and settling for a field goal cause we tried to pass and run outside twice delusional? is coaches not knowing what package to use and having to burn a time out in the third quarter delusional nah it’s not this late in the season that stuff should be fluid and easy, but not in cardinal country
  10. The amount of people on here with zero football IQ is appalling. I counted at least 6 huge drops by the WRs who were wide open. How is that bad play calling? Also calling to put in the backup QB? Delusional.
  11. RJ was targeted 12 times tonight in the passing game. Almost 50% of the passing plays were for him to be involved. I saw a young QB improve even more tonight, even though the stats won't show it. Moved in the pocket well, escaped trouble multiple times to throw dimes. One specific third down drop changed the momentum as the bad snap next play ended a promising drive. Silsbee missing couple starting RBs didn't help but the real story was WOS big plays. The touchdown with 26 secs left in the 1st half was devastating. Both teams had drives ended inside redzone tonight due to fumbles, penalties, etc.
  12. 'Results, not excuses' Your words, your lil motto 🫵🏾🤣
  13. I know someone was getting fried on social media for showing up to BU sideline with all that BU gear on. Maybe that's why yall lost @BMTSoulja1 🤷🏾‍♂️ Hope they do the same thing on October 30th too.
  14. Huge improvement? I saw where PNG led that game 55 - 6 with starters... how much better are you looking for?? lol
  15. Just like Shea Adams was used a few years ago? Does Ashworth have the same skills?
  16. #4 Ohio St(-3) at #5 Indiana Florida at #7 Texas(-11.5) #16 Miss St at #22 LSU(-17) #6 Alabama(-7.5) at #14 Tennessee #13 Missouri at #9 Ole Miss(-5.5) #2 Notre Dame(-10.5) at #8 BYU Wisconsin at #12 UCLA(-2.5) #15 Kentucky at Oklahoma(-6.5) #18 Oklahoma St at #20 Houston(-4.5)
  17. Sloppy, sloppy game for us. Win and move on.
  18. I picked Smoke town by a TD. Looks like WOS won by a TD. Close enough…
  19. Congratulations Dogs. You guys have announced your authority. Coach Spell is sitting up in the stands with a big smile on his face. It’s been a long road and now you’re back.
  20. Apparently. WB literally ran 3 plays for Anderson. Seems like they all produced big chunks of yards.
  21. They missed a lot of calls. I said bf the game that #1 is a dog.there best player.why not put him in the slot??: I can't understand how silsbee refuse to let him touch the ball more!! And if silsbee would have stop reacting to some of things w.o was doing.SMH,they could've called many personal fouls on w.o.as it was w.o had over 200 yds in penalties.but, silsbee had to fix the center position like w.o changed there's.bcz, that kid kept throwing there timing off.
  22. QBs named Anderson are BUs kryptonite
  23. Missed my 10 point WB win by 4. Gotta do better.
  24. You really want to do that??!!I thought I’ve already debunked your horrible take on BU’s gold. I even sent you the link to the actual company that the uniforms are ordered from.
  25. I knew BU was in trouble when I seen two things before the game. I saw how hard the wind was blowing and I saw those all gold uniforms. We NEVER have success in those things. Someone should’ve told Coach. But seriously, most BU fans will chalk this up to garbage officiating. Although the officiating was horrible, WB’s QB took it to us on almost every drive. Kid ran around and by players. Kid had to have almost 200 yards rushing by himself. BU was back to our old tricks again. Wr’s dropping passes, inability to run the ball consistently, and questionable offensive play calling. Its like we can’t get consistent with anything. Now we need to knock off LaPorte or PA. A super tall task…
  26. The reff didn't help either not calling two pass interference calls in the end zone they where hanging all over RJ tonight. One would have definitely been another TD..!
  27. I'm glad wasnt the only one who was seeing that.they could've called so many unsportsmanlike penalties on w.o til it was unreal.i was sitting next to one of the kids parents and told me even though it wasn't his kid doing some of things that was going on.he said when he gets him home he will make sure there on the same page.w.o got away with some many I had to shake my head!! I love the fact that the kids from silsbee didn't give up.
