Call me crazy, but 47 billion US dollars buying 12 years or so of peace with Iran doesn’t seem as dumb as throwing 200 billion in munitions at them while crippling the world’s economy and causing global supply chain disruptions and economic upheaval, while digging deep into our stockpiles of missiles. And no idea where we go from here.

Early reports say that the ceasefire has fallen apart. Israel bombed the hell out of Lebanon this morning and in response Iran says that Hormuz is closed again. I should have figured that Israel could be the wild card, and nobody was talking about them in regards to the ceasefire. It’s not over until everybody agrees it’s over, and some of the parties aren’t ready to stop yet. Just the reports that I’m reading. I’m curious if it’s true. I know Lebanon was bombed, but whether or not Iran is shutting Hormuz isn’t as concrete. I can’t wait to see how this plays out. We might not be able to walk away from this one.
