Anyone have any stats from last night.

I dont think you advance the ball on a muffed punt recovery. Maybe I'm wrong.

The cramp I caught last night reminded me of 2 a days 59 years ago. Guess I didn’t take my salt tablets and drink that 6 ounces of water Coach had us drink as instructed!

What did yall think about the punt.! That bounced of the Shepperd kid chest and went in to the hand of a Tiger that ran it in for the TD.? No flags no TD and gave the ball back to Shepperd. Worse call of the season .!

You' re certainly entitled to that opinion...best of luck to Dayton in the playoffs

You call it “losers mentality”, I call it “learning to finish”…i just don’t think these kids are losers by any stretch…I think they are developing and learning…step in the right direction last night

Finished 6-4 and made the playoffs for the first time in school history. Hope they hold on to this coach for as long as they possibly can [Hidden Content]

That’s next year.

I don't think it mattered!

Newton vs. Elkhart Thursday 7pm @ Timpson

From what I've seen Shepherd really turned it around setting the tone in the 2nd quarter with the INT they had but didn't also didn't take advantage of that one big run that they had that resulted in turnover on downs. We maybe talking about an even closer game or Shepherd maybe winning by 1 if this doesn't happen. Silsbee will have their work cut out for them against Madisonville if they're not careful.

@AggiesAreWe Will this district have winners doing homefield advantage? If not I'll try to see from some Shepherd peeps I know about their playoff game info.

Disagree strongly. He had all night to do it. Do it in the first half against kids who haven’t played both ways all night against a superior opponent. The game was never in doubt. He put his starters back in up 50 when Warren was on the goal line trying to score. You want to throw the ball with your backup QB don’t do it with 2 minutes on the game clock. His team may be full of winners but they didn’t learn sportsmanship from him last night.

Seems like yesterday I was going to 2 a days. It has flown by, II have enjoyed every minute of it, Work has held me back as far as football, hunting, and the such for several yeas. It getting better finally

My theory is that Coach Taylor was trying to work on some areas that could possibly benefit them in the playoffs but wanted the live game scenario.

I got 24 right for the first time I hope but I think I did

I dont know about anyone else, but for the first ever for me, I got all 25 correct!!

The horns will face Athens in the first round. I was a little surprised by the Athens/Canton score, but Athens’ stud qb went down with an ankle injury in the 2nd quarter. Not sure if he’ll be able to go next week or not. Also lost their running back before the half. He went out in the 3rd quarter but ran it once and had to go back out.

My kicker tonight was 6/6 on touchbacks, 4/4 on XPs, and 1/1 on FGs.

Jasper took the air out of the ball most of the game. A heavy dose of backups and both teams running the ball and letting the play clock run down in the second half kept the score low. On a positive note, the game was 1/3 of the way to the deer lease, and because the second half only took about 45 minutes I got here at 12:30 instead of 2:00 like I was worried about.

How in the world did Lake Creek need OT to beat West Fork?

2A D1 Region III San Augustine vs. Union Grove Thursday, November 12 7pm Lion Stadium, Henderson

I know who

This is the first time since 1967 that Jasper went winless in district. (3-12 in district the last three seasons) Also the first time since the 1998 & 1999 seasons where they missed the playoffs in consecutive years.

La Grange 7 Hitchcock 43 F There is now a 3 way tie for the 2 seed between La Marque, La Grange, and Hitchcock. Point differential will determine seeding. Bellville 63 Brazosport 26 F That is the 35th consecutive district win and their 6th straight district championship for the Brahmas. El Campo 21 Sealy 49 F Belton 7 Brenham 35 F
