I see your point. It’s the coach’s decision. I think they (coaches) are fully aware of kids getting hurt. Working on passing or different plays, is a possible scenario. Keeping them in a rhythm maybe. You don’t want these guys sitting around too long. You know what they say about idle minds. He’s not making a statement. There are no poles here.

In our game we began pulling in the 3rd. Especially at certain positions. By 4th it was pretty much getting everyone a chance to play.

I think he has really grown also.but, I think what seperates great teams.are the staff included.i really do believe oline and dline coaching alone with a little better discipline.they would be right back at the top.football starts at the line of scrimmage.on both sides of the ball. One person (coach). Cant fix any team.and that what's seperates some teams.from jump I said w.o would beat HF.i didn't think they would have to come from behind.they will make a run in the playoffs.but, idk, what happens when you have face size up front from schools like Carthage,gilmer,le vega.and your under size.how can they off set that.from any championship runs they have had they always were able to hold there own.if you look at there past it will show that.85 team lost to yates,88/89 team lost to Paris,2000 ennis,14 gilmer,17 pleasant groves.so no matter who the coach is if they can handle up front althetes on team will give them a shot

I think that’s a pretty important part of the discussion when it comes to expectations. Were those great coaches, yes. Would they still have experienced all those state runs without the drop…we’ll never know. 2000 was the year after we didn’t even make the playoffs.
