Never mind.  Must have went over  your head.

No, I think you misunderstood that poster's comments. He was making some sarcastic remarks in regards to the questions about these two kids moving for supposedly "athletic" reasons. It had nothing to do with comparing HJ to Ozen.

Nash you know he is moving his kids to Ozen because BISD schools are Academically Excellent, I mean Recognized, I mean Acceptable. And not to mention the extremely low crime rate in the Ozen attendance zone!!
And Ozen would blow H-J's basketball team out of the water.  Don't forget to add that one.  Do you think those kids actually wanted to go to H-J over Ozen for basketball?
i think he was saying that H-F is one of the highest ranking schools academically  in the area, so why would you move your kids from there and send them to a lower performing school unless it was for "athletic " purposes.

And Ozen should beat H- J in basketball since they have about 1,000 more students in which to pick a basketball team. But I guarantee you we would give them a run for their money.

Don't despair, Dove is you are finding things to be less confrontational than you wanted.  Just start a thread saying you are moving your kids for athletic purposes.  That ought to stir it up a little.

The three youth programs who are the most fundamentally sound in terms of player skills and team concepts are in no particular order Nederland (Central and C.O. Wilson) Hardin Jefferson or Henderson and St. Anne. I've seen alot of teams play and these are the teams that routinely have a system that their players execute.
While sitting here in basketball *rehab* Kelly Basketball bring up some good points. Basketball is truly a team game. A player may not have all the fundamentals but some school systems are able to *hide* the player's weaknesses in that particular system. IMHO, I think this what makes HJ so good. The coaches get the best from their players by playing in a system that suit their style of athletes out there.

Isn't that what coaching is all about?  Finding a system that best suits the players?

Actually, the coaching has little to do with it.  Has more to do with that continuing streak of luck.

No problem.  Kobe and LeBron have experienced the same thing and they dont seem to care whether it is labeled luck or skill just as long as the end result is good.
