HJ at SILSBEE PREDICTIONS?

I know this game is still a week away, but looking for real predictions with reasoning.  Anything not pertaining to a prediction will be removed from the thread and/or the thread will be locked.

I'm going to go with Silsbee by 9. The Tigers will have to really turn up the defense on HJ. Prudhoome, Gustafson, and Bosha can really play. Stallworth is back to 100% and I expect for Silsbee to fill it up. Silsbee 71 HJ 62.

There is no way you could get me to bet money on this game.. On paper Silsbee should win this game by 15 or 20, but HJ has a way to overcome better teams to pull off a win.

100% Silsbee because they know they can play with the "real" big dogs. As long as they play with the intensity they will be okay. It's Silbee's year. Lack of experience will hurt HJ.  Silsbee by 7 over Hawks. :P

Excuse me dove, but the fastest kid on the floor will be the HJ point guard-  no question about it.  Only kid I have seen who can be running alongside opponents point guard dribbling at full speed and can cut in front of him and steal the ball without making contact.

Silsbee by 8....... P.Lane will Hold Prudhomme -Gus will be held By Gaines an RHONE- an Bosha will be held by T.Barrett an J.Holmes  I think that this may cause matchup problems for HJ with Silsbee having so many athletes to throw at them...

I will not say anything negative about Gus,  he is a ball player, but I think Gaines has speed to stay right with him. I worry about the Tigers being rusty,  they will have only played 1 game in 2 weeks prior to this one.

This will be a fun game to watch. I think Silsbee will have the edge though. Will come down too who gets into foul trouble early, and which team hits there FT.

Guys here is how it is. The Silsbee team can go a strong 9-10 deep. You have the best player in the area in DC Stallworth and a top 10 player in Prentice Lane. I think most of the other positions are close to being even. When you sub and don't lose a beat, you are hard to beat. HJ is extremely talented. I would expect this game to be decided in the 4th quarter at the free throw line.

Silsbee by at least 10. Better team and HJ cant guard DC. He should have a monster game. Matchup problems everywhere except an even duel at the PG. Silsbee's year and they will TCB at home.

[/quote]The biggest hurdle HJ is going to have to overcome is when Gus is out of the game.  I think he's the only ball handler that can operate at Silsbee's speed.  If Garrett is in foul trouble, it will be a long night for HJ.  A long night, indeed.

I believe it will be a back and forth game that will come down to free throws and turnovers.  Gut instinct is Silsbee wins by 5 this time but HJ wins when they play in Sour Lake. 

Anybody know the free throw percentages for the top 5 of each team?

This is strictly a guess on my part, but I see them in almost every game.

These are for the starters:

Sutherland  90%
Bosha  80%
Persohn  75%
Gus  70%
Prudhomme 70%

Lt.Dan you are right on the money.The home court is usually worth about 5 points.These 2 teams are just about even,they both win at home and then flip for seeding.
