This is coming from Coach Green who I just had a conversation with. He said "this whole thing about Trae Hester not pitching in the playoff game against Crosby is new news to me. As of right now and as far as I know Trae is available to pitch". I dont know where all of these rumors are getting started up from but the need to stop. If Trae pitches or not they still need to beat Crosby before worrying about the next round.

Is Hester going to be available for the game? I hope it's not true because you never want to see this but I heard he may be done for the year.

Hester pitching Vidor wins. Hester not pitching, Crosby wins with Gabby on the mound.
He will not be the best pitcher crosby has faced all year....I think the coogs will be ready even for just one game...... Still think UIL should mandate a 3 game series unless agreed on 1 by both coaches.... one game just does not determine the best TEAM..... oh wait.... that maybe why the Vidor coach only wanted one game... he knows!!!!

I see this one coming a couple miles from down the road. If Vidor wins the UIL should mandate a 3 game series unless both coaches agree on 1 game. If Crosby wins they were the better team  ::) ::)

Without Trae Vidor has no chance. With Trae they have a pretty good chance. It's no secret Vidor benefits from the one game scenario because of their lack of pitching depth. But if Crosby is the better team they will find a way to win. I just don't want to hear the losing teams excuses after the game. There is plenty time to prepare. Game is at about as close of a neutral site as its going to get. Better come prepared or you will be done! Good luck to both teams.

I don't know to much about crosby or the teams they have faced.

How many D-1 signees have yawl faced?
Pitching crosby faced a kid early in the year that signed to LSU. he was clocked at 91-94. too many D-1 kids at other positions to count...
It has nothing to do with the Crosby game, I just don't think a one game series shows which is the better team. Usually teams who are weaker than the other only want one game and hope for the game of there lives.... to much can happen in one ball game..... when line drives become tripple plays and weak grounders become game winners... anything is possible in one game.

We'll see what your opinion is after they face Hester. Easy to say he's not the best you've faced when you haven't seen him yet. I personally hate the 1 gamer myself but that's the system we have. Good luck to both teams. Should be a good one!

How can you say that the only person Vidor has is Hester if you havent seen them play? Its easy to go off what people say on here but Vidor still has a great group of talented kids on their team. Last time I looked on the front of their jersey's it said Vidor Pirates not the Vidor Hester's.

Nice JoesBros. Put Hester out there all by his lonesome and see how many games he wins by himself. I love Trae, but one man don't make a team unless you are playing golf or tennis or some sport like that. That is why Baseball is a team sport. It takes 9 to win with, not just one.

What is his name and what school? Not trying to be antagonistic, just curious. I have seen Hester and nothing wrong with him being the best you've seen. He is the best alot of teams have seen. Anyone can win the one game series and from what I have heard yawls number one is legit too.
I have see him pitch several times and so have the kids. Who knows he may beat us but is, like I said, not the best we have seen this year.

How many would you have won without him?  You lose him and you don't have near as good a team.

    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
    • See why I don't trust my Hogs?
    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
