The coach of the team that wins the tournament will be the All Star Coach this year. 1st Round Results: #2 Rockhounds beat #5 Lugnuts 9-6 (6 Innings) #3 Express beat #4 Red Wings 18-8 (4 Innings) #1 Storm BYE Tonights 2nd Round Games: #1 Storm vs. #3 Express (Winner gets #2 Rockhounds) #4 Red Wings vs. #5 Lugnuts (Losers season is over and Winner gets loser of Storm/Express game) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Lazeek Posted May 19, 2009 Author Report Share Posted May 19, 2009 Congrats to the Storm on the victory tonight. They beat the Express 15-12. The Express fought back but could not get enough in the 6th. The Storm jumped out early with two homeruns in the top of the first. One from Greyson Kash that was deep to center and one from Logan Paschal to center. It made the 6th different TC Pinto player to hit one out this year. Storm gets to play the Rockhounds tomorrow night for a spot in the Championship on Friday. Express gets the winner of the Lugnuts/ Red Wings game which was tied at 8 after the 4th inning. Greyson Kash hit 3 homeruns tonight!!!! :o :o The Express started hot leading 10-0 after 2 and held on to win 12-8 in 6. That sends the Storm to the Championship on Friday night and will have to win one for the title. The Rockhounds will face the Express tomorrow night at 6:30 with the winner moving on to face the Storm on Friday night. The Express had the Rockhounds were they wanted them and gave the game away. Leading 12-9 going into the 5th and with two outs the Rockhounds managed to score 5 runs to take 14-12 lead. The Express still felt in control as they had the top of the lineup due up in the bottom of the 5th. Lead off grounded out to first, second hitter popped out to short, third hitter managed a infield hit and then the cleanup popped out to second to end the game and the end the Express chances at the title. Best of luck to the Rockhounds and Storm as they were the two best teams all season and managed to play their way into the championship game tomorrow night at 6:30!!!!! It was hard fought throughout and the TC Storm defeated the TC Rockhounds on a walk-off 2 run bomb in the bottom of the 6th inning by T-boy(first of the season). Congrats to the Storm and to the Rockhounds. As I said earlier the Championship was the two best teams and they fought down to the last pitch!!!! Literally!!!!
