AggiesAreWe Posted Sunday at 03:46 PM Report Posted Sunday at 03:46 PM Battle for 2nd seed. Massey projections has this one 35-13 Nederland Thoughts? Quote
A BUC 77 Posted Sunday at 04:21 PM Report Posted Sunday at 04:21 PM I know Nederland doesn’t match very well with Texas City but playing at home will help. Knowing that they had PNG on the ropes will help them as well. I see this being a close game but big Ned should pull away with a win. Quote

Darth Texas Posted Sunday at 06:05 PM Report Posted Sunday at 06:05 PM I don’t think it will be close. Texas City can’t match Nederland’s physicality. Quote
NDNWarrior Posted Sunday at 06:55 PM Report Posted Sunday at 06:55 PM With the history of these two teams, it could go either way. Smashem1984 and outanup 2 Quote

TXC will not be able to move the ball against NED. Get the ball to #10 and #8 and get the kids to recharge thier batteries and avoid the human nature effect of a letdown that usually comes after MCM hype and NED will win by three or four TDs. And different TC and Dayton teams, although I still would not take them lightly. Quote

png9mon Posted Tuesday at 01:33 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 01:33 PM If Nederland gets tough & shuts down The TC running game, Bulldogs will walk away with the victory. Quote
aki1994 Posted Tuesday at 05:22 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 05:22 PM Texas City is extremely one dimensional. TC will run it outside and the RB is really good. I think Ned gives up a couple of long runs but wins easily. Quote
Smashem1984 Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago The biggest issue Ned has to fix is learning to play as a Team. To many individuals that play strictly for themselves and it shows. Players parents running their social media platforms like they are getting drafted by the Seattle Seahawks first round. Everyone knows the parents and grandparents that want to call all the shots for their babies and Coach Rich and some of the other coaches need to cut the cord and run the program with or without them. Coaches across the tracks definitely don’t play this nonsense. For all of us that played for Coach Neumann would also agree. For the record I feel Tx City may be a true upset for this exact reason. Just my 2 Cents and I am tired of seeing our program go to crap and losing. Paladin, navydawg31 and DoggStyle 1 2 Quote

Parents able to gain access to the fence behind the bench and speak with their kids, like it was little league baseball. Parents tell their kids one thing and the coach maybe says something else. But anyway, the Massey 35 - 13 guess sounds as good a guess as any. Smashem1984 1 Quote

Don’t you think you have to give him a chance to build his system? Smashem1984 1 Quote

Every player dad thinks he's Bill Belichick with all the answers and their sons are the greatest football players of all time. Coaches don't stand a chance. A play works, best coach in the world. Same play doesn't work next time, dumbest play of all time. Smashem1984 1 Quote
prepballfan Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago I have my opinions about the coaching and Ill keep them to myself. I think that Texas City and Nederland have similar teams. Both primarily running teams. Though different styles. Both known for their front 7 on defense as their top trait. The difference is I have watched both teams play and there is a difference. Nederland is fundamentally sound and takes care of the football. I also observed somewhere that Nederlands special teams needed work. Well Texas City's special teams needs way more work. TC can and will hit you with a deep streak pass several times in the game. They are decent at it. If Nederland just get in there and plays the same game and intensity they did last week they will win the game. They are the better team. Anything can happen, but I believe Nederland will take this game. Good luck Nederland we are pulling for you. navydawg31 and bullets13 2 Quote
baddog Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I won’t knock any of the coaching because that has to be a tough job. Programs are started in middle schools and prepare the players for JV and Varsity. Neumann’s program benefitted greatly from the middle school coaches, especially coach Lynch. His teams went undefeated. Let’s give Rich’s program a chance to be taught early. To play PNG to overtime speaks volumes. Dogs by whatever it takes to win. Smashem1984 1 Quote
