This is a program building win. Your two wins away from making the playoffs in one of the best divisions in football in your first year in 6a as the smallest school in 6A. That's pretty darn good.

We continue to show that with work, and buy in from the team that we can and will be successful in 6A ball. The road will not come easy, but even in the blowout losses to both King, and NS we showed signs of something special to come!

Back to back wins for Crosby after back to back trips to the wood shed. Kingwood has been kind of the district gate keeper the last few years. So this definitely a big win for Crosby. Championship programs are built in a day. It takes a bit for everything to get aligned.

Just a reminder that two years ago Kingwood was in the 6A-D2 regional finals. They have a first year head coach just like we do which is where the “should” might come from but this is definitely not a game/opponent at the beginning of the season most Crosby fans thought we could win the way we did? Losing Cade Haug hurt Kingwood but Crosby kind of dominated a game in which they really didn’t even play well.

I understand your points, but KWOOD has been on a downward slide since the Finals appearance.   That team was a once in 10-15 year team for KWOOD.

Crosby might beat Humble, but they are much improved.  The other two, not a chance

Kingwood is going to sing more D1 prospects off of this year’s team than the ‘24 team. Even the ‘24 team was one point away from going 4-6, that’s what they always are. CE King just had a down year. 
 

I would be ecstatic to beat Humble and finish our first year in 6A at .500. I agree it’s pretty unlikely we win the other two but if we’re being honest, in this district 6/7 regular season wins is all Crosby is looking for anyway. CE King turned it into an art, what’s I’m operant for Crosby is purely the progress right now
