So are we saying the lefty from BH is QB1 to begin the season? Sounds like it and that is what I expected to happen. Will be fun to watch.

Correct.  I don't know how long he has been enrolled into East Chambers, but the day he stepped foot on campus, he was QB1, regardless of what anybody else says.  Took me about half of a play to realize he was the guy for the job.

The kid can go and he's been used to the speed at 5A with BH. He's going to be good, I'll bet.

I agree. Unless the transferred QB can score most if not all the points. I know Orangefield receivers are all returning.

The QB is not the whole team. You would know that if you didn't just guess and actually fact checked anything.

Pretty easy when you get transfers every year.  Great coach but let's be real.  Qb goes to PAM, transfer feom Canada.  QB comes back, but bc Babin goes to BH, the lefty from BH transfers to EC.  For once id like to play EC with the same players they have in jr high.

Every single school in SETX gets transfers every year. EC is not special in this regard.

Did EC scrimmage Liberty??  Anyone, anyone?

EC scored 11 times while Liberty scored twice on EC's second team defense while Liberty's first team offense was in.

Just want to comment on KJ. First I’m not here to bash him, but I didn’t see the same kid that played for ec 2 years ago. Which makes think was it playing in 5A D1 vs playing in a lower classification that made him look slow and confused? He was the weak link with the front 7 covering most of the mistakes. I think he will feel more comfortable back in EC and wish him well

Safe to say that Liberty is not very good

Bucs did good against Kountze on Thursday. Bucs scored either 5 or 6 to Kountzes 1. Defense is very improved. Offense found their rhythm. Both O-line and D-line were able to hang with people twice their size. Safe to say it’ll be a great year for the bucs.

Yeah everyone's getting QB's from Barbers Hill and dad gum Canada.  Also slot receivers from Manvel with a ton of offers.  As far as our district is concerned, EC is special in that regard.

The one receiver from Manvel moved to Manvel from EC and came back. People also just move around. It’s nothing special.

Also, fairly safe to say, the Kountze line on both sides of the ball is big but unathletic. They’ll face far better defensive/offensive lines they’ll have to deal with. If EC has a weakness, it’s up front on both sides of the ball.

I think that’s been their weakness for awhile. I don’t remember EC ever really having big linemen honestly. They have strong fast guys up front to open holes and hold their blocks long enough to get the play off but don’t think I’ve seen any big guys up front for the Bucs. Early 2000’s I remember Thomas Macie, Chris Cox and a few others that were bigger linemen but after that I think it’s been guys that are just strong and can get of the ball fast
