I just heard CNN complaining because Trump has not laid out his plan……smh.  Telling the world his plan would be telling Iran….right now Iran knows as much as you and I know….and that’s a good thing.

Yeah….I am sure we were thinking the same when we went into Afghanistan. We stayed 20 years and left in a disgraceful way. 
 

War is big business for the military industrial complex. 

What does the average American citizen stand to gain from this war? 
 

We currently have spent 8 trillion in the Middle East and lost about 7000 soldiers going all the way back to Iraq and Afghanistan. Not to mention the thousands of soldiers that deal with ptsd from these wars. I am trying to figure out what we have gained as a country by getting into that quagmire.

You are right, that about Trump wasn’t a question.  So, how does Trump benefit financially from doing these military actions?  Unless we have a different understanding of what the military industrial complex means.

Too early to tell.

I will say this from my perspective. If Iran and their proxies are removed as an impediment to regional unrest, and--as payback for assistance--Israel will accept a Palestinian State due to more stability, it may provide the basis for Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords.

THAT would be the biggest factor towards getting long-term stability in the ME. If the Saudis join, many others will follow.

What are you willing to accept in removing their leadership and proxies? 4 mos., 1 yr., 5 yrs., more? I think history shows that western attempts to influence the entire region have failed all the way back to the crusades.

Reports say that Trump offered a ceasefire and the Iranians were like “yeah….. no.” There’s 90 million of them used to fighting.  There are 330 million of us who would surrender if you told us we’d have to give up our Starbucks.   We’re soft, fat, lazy, and no one under the age of 30 has been in a fistfight, and they’ve been conditioned to report bullying, not stand up for themselves.
